Chef Duong creates a Vietnam experience my husband and I will never forget. Suitable for novice, professional cook or those who just love to eat. Start with a delicious welcome drink and hilarity as we all donned aprons and white chef hats to help prepare...broth for Pho. While it cooked for 3 hours Chef Duong took us all by Cyclo to Hanoi’s main market, a fascinating, never ending cavernous space of herbs, spices, vegetables, meats, merchandise and street food. Without this tour we would never have tried any of the street foods, some of which look scary but taste better than they look, or have known what the ingredients were or how they are prepared. Chef Duong’s enthusiasm, easy humor and openness of spirit are contagious. He is the heart of this experience. After the market we participated in making three dishes which ended in us all sitting down to a huge spectacular feast! Do not miss this experience! Best value for money in Hanoi! Cannot recommend highly enough.More

Not to be confused with "Duong Restaurant" (the correct one has a 's), we decided to eat here upon reading recommemdations and reviews. Apparently, the chef was among the top few in MasterChef. Nevertheless, the food, service and ambience were great, and we were happy...we reserved a table to dine here. We both had the Vietnamese set menu (you can check out the menu on their website), and every dish was delicious. I would highly recommend you either start your eating vacation in Hanoi here (to get a delightful introduction to all that is must-eat in Hanoi) or round off your eating vacation with a last meal of Hanoi dishes on a high note!More

Typical tourist trap! Bad food for ridiculous prices. No local people, only tourists. Reviews on internet/TripAdvisor have to be fake.

Set out for dinner at anther restaurant that apparently had closed down. Stopped at a nearby hotel and the receptionist suggested this place. I arrived about 15 minutes after they closed. I explained the situation to James,  the general manager,  who greeted me upon my...entrance and he invited me to stay and eat.  After a quick glance at the menu I opted for a set Vietnamese menu with an appetizer, soup, entree and dessert. The spring roll appetizer included a fried spring roll and a traditional spring roll with shrimp & pork. Both were delicious. The BBQ pork was in a slightly sweet broth of fish sauce with a mild lemongrass flavor, and was amazing. The black sticky rice in yogurt with ice cream was the right amount of sweet to complete the meal. While I was apprehensive at first, it was quite good. This was the best meal I had while in Hanoi. The hospitality shown by James and his staff was exemplary. They made me feel very welcome even though I arrived late and was accrual "that guy". If you're in Hanoi, do yourself a favor and visit Duong restaurant, you won't be disappointed.More

The food was delicious at this restaurant and very traditional Vietnamese with the freshest of ingredients. The service was terrific. Ambiance was great too. We are planning to go back for a second time.

The best food experience in Vietnam during our two week trip. Imagine Aretha Franklin and Pink Floyd had an edible love child. Imagine the party of flavours in your mouth. Every tone and taste is perfect. Not too sweet, not too spicy. We had the...traditional set menu and the western set menu. Both was just pure pleasure with every bite. Like a tiny little orgasm. A bit pricy for Vietnam, but it's worth every dong. The place is neat and staff is great. Shout out to our two waitresses Jenny and Lavender (?). But the true hero is the chef. Can't recommend the place enough.More

We were welcomed as soon as we entered the restaurant by attentive staff who guided us through the menu and made sure we had no allergies. When our meals were served at the table Lavender gave us tips on how to eat or take the...food to get the best from our experience. The food was all freshly cooked, well presented at the table tasted delicious and was reasonably priced. We enjoyed the meal so much we returned the following evening for our last meal in Hanoi. Thank you to the team and to my new friend Lavender 🙂More

We arrived at Duong Dining in the Hanoi old quarter but the restaurant was booked out. Instead of being turned away, my husband and I were driven to the Duong Restaurant, also in the old quarter but a distance away that would have made walking...difficult, at no cost to us. We had just walked in from the street so the restaurant was under no obligation to do this for us! We both ordered the traditional set menu and the food was outstanding! My husband had the pork and I chose the fish for the main course. There are also set menu options for a more Western cuisine as well as a la carte options. We can not recommend this restaurant (either the dining or the restaurant venues) enough. I do recommend making an online booking 24 hours in advance using their website booking page though to ensure you can get a table. Their response to these bookings are prompt with clear information about the address and time of booking (in English, if needed - we needed this). If you are in Hanoi, make a booking and eat at this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.More

We had dinner yesterday, 05.09.22, and we didn't expect such a class restaurant (related to ambiance, food serving and presentation, the FABULOUS food teast, the way the waitress was giving explanations and advices, even asking on each dish about specific types of allergies: we"be chosen...the Traditional Vietnamese Set menu and 1Western Set menu), as from outside it didn't look so impressive! Me and my wife have been well impressed about everything, and we highlight recommend this restaurant!More

I went to this restaurant with a local friend whom i've been knowing for a long time. We had a variety of different dishes ranging from spring- and summer rolls as a starter to Bún chả and Chả cá, which was my personal highlight. Chả...cá in general is already a perfect dish in itself, combining tender chunks of fish with green onions, dill, ricenoodles and vegetables. But the intepretation of Chả cá at Dương's Restaurant was just outstanding. Normally it is served with mắm tôm, a rather pungent shrimp sauce, which might not be for everyone. But in this place it was kind of brought to the next level, while still maintaining it's original nuances. All in all a very pleasant evening, and my friend was blown away too! Can't wait to be back to experience the food again.More

After being recommended by our Hotel and without having eaten in Hanoi before we were not sorry. We chose the traditional menu and the food was so delicious and so many flavours! Entree was spring rolls following by Pho and then fish or pork for...main. House white wine was also very nice. The meal was topped off with dessert of black sticky rice sweet soup with icecream. Price was reasonable and we could tell we were in a quality restaurant.More

Ultimately, the restaurant reached out to me here through messaging to provide the email address. The website is faulty. Have tried so many times on different days from different devices.
