We had dinner here on our last night in Hanoi. As much as we loved the street food in Hanoi, it was great to have a nicer meal in the lovely Club Ly setting. The food was delicious with a bit of modern twist on classic Vietnamese flavours. Highly recommended!

We visited Ly Club for a farewell to Vietnam dinner after a little over 2 weeks travelling in Vietnam and Cambodia. The first thing that strikes this restaurant is the ambiance of a bygone early 20th century era - pictures of the Royal palace, the late king, princes, and other members of Vietnam's past. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable... More

This is our second visit over the years and Ly Club did not disappoint. Set in a beautiful colonial style building and very near the Metropole, the Ly Club serves upscale Vietnamese fusion style dishes in what is a pretty comprehensive menu with choices that are suiting to most palates. The selection of soups, Asian style salads and main courses... More

This restaurant came recommended and although not dreadful was just not up to its billing and price. Our hotel was a few minutes walk away and having only arrived in Vietnam earlier in the day decided to not to go further afield. The interior of the restaurant was very pleasing and attractive and we both hoped for better from the... More

Took my girlfriend-to-be here for a nice dinner date. The place was beatuful with nice decoration, the piano music was also good and the light was just right. However, the food did not live up to our expectation. None of the dishes we ordered worth to recommend. In short, we are not impressed by the food here.

We visited on a Wednesday night to celebrate an anniversary - it was quite quiet and felt more appropriate for a business meeting. Food was good but overpriced when compared to alternatives.

I did not have it as the one to visit and the hotel concierge send me there since we were hungry snd was closed to Sofitel Metropole. What a surprise, a colonial mansion, excellent service, a girl playing piano, food = 10, I had the chance of tasting ( I drunk 2 glasses) o Vietnamese white wine and WAS VERY... More

Amazing first meal in Hanoi. Food so delicately flavoured - must take hours to prepare and seconds to cook. Building looks a bit dated and several people came in - looked around and left but they were missing an absolute treat. Had the Tasting Menu 1 and Vietnam white (which was surprisingly good).

Stayed at the Sofitel, but had not read up on trip advisor, we ask the desk to recommend somewhere and low and behold we were at the Ly Club. Unlike others reviewers we did not book just turn up and they had free seats so we eat there we had cocktails to begin with whilst looking at the menu (150k)... More
