It was our first time visiting Hanoi and we had selected Le Beaulieu to pre-celebrate my husband's birthday. Everything there was simply marvellous, not to mention about the high quality food - special recommendation on the lobster bisque if u r a seafood lover! In particular we would like to thank Mr. Vu Xuan Thuong and Ms. Nguyen Kim Nhung... More

We arrived to Hanoi from Laos rather late so were not feeling like exploring too much for food so we got ourselves booked at Le Beaulieu. It was a really good experience - we had a tasting menu, which was nice. Particularly impressed with the asparagus and poached egg starter, was ingenious, fresh and with lots of textures. Very much... More

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The ambiance is cozy and elegant. The food is excellent. I love lobster soup, pan fried foie gras. Staff is attentive and helful to recommend menu especially Mdm Nhung. The service is great. This is a lovely restaurant and I would recommend any French cuisine lovers.

Nice ambience as expected when we made a reservation. After we were seated, we asked for food recommendation. The waiter proceeded to read to us almost the whole menu! We decided on the scallop for started and cod fish + beef tenderloin for mains. Scallops were yummy. Need heavenly. Cod fish disappointing - it tasted fishy & overlooked. The presentation... More

We travel to Hanoi every year, the Metropole a must visit, the Sunday brunch always amazing. This year we were so dissapointed. The food table set up had changed, pushed to the side instead of centered, one less table I think. Grandeur on a smaller scale with some things missing. The ambience, because of undisciplined Vietnamese children spoiled. The children running around and screaming, taking food from... More

Firstly , an apology for the lateness of this review . My husband suffered an accident whilst we were in Vietnam & that & other circumstances have meant reviews are very belated ! This restaurant situated in the Sofitel Metropole Legend is their #1 restaurant. Refurbished to a high standard this French style restaurant has an extensive menu & is... More

We are staying in the hotel and decided to come to Le Beaulieu for dinner. Our waitress was Lan. The food was absolutely beautiful but the food was surpassed by the wonderful service and attention of Lan who made our evening so very special. Highly recommended to everyone.

Went to the Hotel Metropole for dinner on Thursday 2nd June 2016 and had cocktails at the main bar which was excellent. Dinner in Le Beaulieu was at its best very average and disappointing. The service was spotty for example butter was quickly brought to the table but I was then left to ask for the bread!!! I had quite... More

There is so much really good food in Hanoi, it is almost a shame to waste a meal on a place that doesn't really excel. I've had the lunch buffet here, and that is generally speaking quite good, with an array of offerings that would tempt any palate. But coming for dinner would encounter some serious reluctance on my part.... More
