We order as appetizers - springrolls with shrimps, chicken satay, main course beef with ginger and garlic fried vegetables and Tom Yum Gong with seafood. I admit I was scared when the taxi driver dropped us off. Set on a busy street outside Patong in the middle of nowhere. There were very few customers because we were there early. We persisted and it was worth it, as the food was...unbelievably good. Salads in particular - som tum, larb gai and yam pla dook fu. Green chicken curry was very fragrant, not too heavy. Wonderfully authentic Thai food. The prices were very reasonable, the portions were good sizes, and everything seemed very fresh and clean. We would definitely come back here!!
Pricey for the type of food it serves. Good decent quality but not mind blowing. But it offers a quiet haven from crowds and hustle of the main patong area. You’re better of travelling to Phuket town for better quality food with better service. There...was barely anyone around when we were there and the servers weren’t at all interested in serving us and probably were the gloomiest servers we have met on our holiday thus far. Also be wary if you’re taking a tuktuk or taxi there. It isn’t the easiest place to get back from (if you’re based in central patong). If you’re based nearer to Jungceylon I would suggest giving this place a miss. If you’re willing to travel - go to Phuket town. If not there are cheaper alternatives (albeit of lesser quality) nearer the hustle and bustle.More
we drove there, parking could be trcky, not many people but the food was great. im giving it a 5 because it was the best thai food we had in last few days. we had the usual tomyam, d garlic fried pork, crab curry ,...salads etc. a must try though its a little bit further from town than expectedMore
The food was really delicious! Service was good too. We enjoyed the dishes so much that we came back again during our holiday. The stewed pork, green curry, Tom yam soup and steamed fish were sublimely scrumptious. In fact, we enjoyed everything we ordered.
One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been and reasonable prices. Staff was friendly and food was also quick. Highly recommended!
Kaab Gluay is my boyfriend's most favourite restaurant in Patong during our visit in Phuket. The food was great. One guy staff is very friendly to us when serving the food. 👏 Just a reminder before ordering per kilo like fish you must asked first...and clarify to the service staff the price. We ordered a streamed fish with mince pork. We asked the lady staff how much for the fish because there's no price on the menu. And she said its 299 bath for small and 599 bath for big fish. Then we ordered small fish. After we ate and asked the bill we noticed that the price of the fish is 599 bath which is for big size. We called the lady who took the order and told her that we ordered a small fish why is the price 599. Then she told us and keep on insisting its big fish we told her we only ordered small to her. She went back to the cashier with frowning face to change the bill when it came back its 499 which is still not the PRICE that we agreed. Anyway, we just paid for it. Please be honest to your customers. It's not because we're tourist you'll gonna do that. Clean and relaxing atmosphere. We noticed as well a lot of local people eat here. We still enjoyed our food here, undeniable good food.More
This was my favourite place in Patong. The food was exceptional both in flavour and presentation. Service was attentive and quick. The only slight downside is the busy road in front of it. But definitely a must-try if you're in Patong.
Probably my 10th time eating at this restaurant and again we had a perfect meal. You can see and certainly taste the freshness in every dish. The staff is multilingual, polite and attentive to all your needs. Our biggest issue here is liking to many...things on the menu and ordering to much food. Keep up the great work!!More
