Probably the most unwanted/ indifferent I have felt in a bar/ restaurant. I had to leave after 30 minutes. And the place was not even half full. I have felt more welcomed in a bikers bar in the middle of Texas. So, if you found...Texas xenophobic this gets a lot worse. I give 2 stars for the band. These are supposed to be university students. Aren't they taught basic politeness or manners? I dunno what their deal is. There is a North gate jazz something which is a lot friendlier/ neutral.More

Been there twice during my stay at Chiang Mai and it's full. Mostly frequented by locals. There's live band. Lively place, great ambience. Note that last call to order drinks is 1am.

The vibes was great with good music. The food was good with pretty reasonable priced. Close at 1am. Amazing place. Would definitely recommend. Will sure come back next time.

The drink menu is decent, a bit overpriced, but this place draws in tourists, ex pats, and locals. There are three music areas, however we went on a weekday and there was only two music rooms to choose from. It was still rather busy though,...so I’m sure on the weekends it is nearly impossible to get in. It was a lot of 20s-30 year olds, so it’s a nice place to hangout if that’s your crowd.More

Me and my wife visited this place after having a meal further up the street in Chiang Mai, only wanting a couple of drinks to end what had been a quiet night. As we approached the bar the security staff near the entrance initially let...me pass, then (unknown to me until 30 seconds later) stopped my wife. By this point I had already ordered a beer from a waitress (as the outside of the bar was quiet and she spotted me as soon as I walked up). I returned to the entrance to see what was happening and my wife had been stopped and not allowed in, and we couldn't understand why - my wife doesn't drink so it couldn't have been due to being drunk, and we're 38 and 35, so didn't think it was an age thing. In broken English the security staff kept saying "mobile phone" and pointing at our pockets, but we'd left our mobile phones in the hotel security box and didn't have them. I then emptied my pockets to show that all I has was my wallet. It was at this point that they pointed out the door - i.e. that we weren't allowed in - and started to physically push us away. We were completely dumbstruck. At almost the same time the waitress wandered over with my beer and to top it all off they then tried to charge me, even though they wouldn't let me in or give me the beer! I appreciate this sounds like we were trouble-makers, but we were both sober (my wife doesn't drink, and I think I'd had 2 beers) and we had just walked up to have a drink. We'd no idea what was going on, and the way they handled it was appalling, pointing at us, pushing us around. Note: we've since been advised that it's common in Thailand for Thai people to take a photo of their ID on their phone (so they don't lose their ID on a night out) and use that to prove their age, so we can only assume that this is what they meant and they wanted to see ID for my wife. However even if true to then forcibly push us away when it was clear we were just confused it completely unacceptable. We have friends that live in Thailand that have advised that security staff in places like this do have a terrible reputation, and I can say that this was the only blemish on an otherwise fabulous holiday... so maybe it was just bad luck.More

We came here to watch a world cup game. That's exactly what Warm Up Cafe is for. If you're not there to watch a sporting event or party the night away with local college students, you're in the wrong place

I like this place, let’s get that straight. If your looking for a gourmet feast, not happening here. They serve a full menu but when it’s busy ( most nights they are ), food is average at best. This is a night club and a...nice place to mingle, busy and friendly...a must go to place if you want to mingle. Bands are live, party atmosphere, lots of people.More

It is a great place for music and drinks but never have your dinner here. Their menu is super big in term of choices but it took them slightly more than 2 hours to serve us. Some of my friends left to look for food...elsewhere because of hunger.More

Unless you are Thai, it would be wise to avoid this bar at all costs. Terrible service, slow and the waiters don’t come back to your table once you have ordered. We got 2 drinks and gave a 1000 baht note, but the waiter didn’t...bring back any change even after we had both our drinks at the table. We gave them about 10 minutes and tried to signal for them to come over to ask about our change, however they tried their best to ignore us. I had to go to the bar and tell them how much changed I was owed. The people working here are either completely incompetent, trying to con people out of money, but must mostly probably both.More

This is a bar that clearly does not want foreigners in it. We sat at a table and ordered a beer and were immediately given the check. When we didn’t reach for our wallets, the server waited then very rudely said, “you pay now.” So...we paid up and then were ignored the rest of the night. They checked on the rest of the tables around us but passed over us... didn’t ask if we wanted food or another drink. Even the promotional staff went to every other table but ours. And hey, we’re super understanding, chill and friendly people. But I would not recommend this place for foreigners, you will likely be completely ignored.More
