After reading good reviews we thought we'd give this place a try as we have a craving for pancakes. I can only describe this experience as odd. We walked along an ally way and over a huge mound of gravel to get to this place only to find it was basically someone's house. The owner made her family move from... More

According to lonely planet the best coffee and banana pancake in town. I fully agree with the coffee (although it is not cheap compared to the other locations), yet the banana pancake was only average. So if you want to have a good coffee I would recommend the Libernard.

Best coffee in Chiang Mai. Banana pancakes there are awesome. Only problem is Libernard can be a difficult place to find but well worth the effort.

2 of us had coffee and breakfast here recently. The coffee is very good & their banana pancake was superb. I am looking forward to trying some of their other things.

Every other review talks about the fantastic coffee and banana pancakes, so let me just confirm that they're great. We spent a few days in Chiang Mai and ended up coming to the Libernard every day for our breakfast and morning coffee. In case you didn't know, the owner buys coffee grown locally (in a village some miles away from... More

The cafe is off the street just outside the old city walls. The seating is in a cool and secluded courtyard and the banana pancakes did not disappoint. Coffee was good too! Recommend!

Ms Pong prepares the most delicious banana pancakes and makes great coffee. Place is at the end of a small path between buildings. Worth the trouble of finding the place.

Found this unassuming place in the Lonely Planet guide book. It served the best coffee I've ever had and the banana pancakes were also delicious. Definitely worth checking out if you want some good coffee and breakfast. When we went the owner also had 3 kittens which was an added bonus.

We approached with caution as we were walking into Libernards, following lonely planets recommendation, because it seems you could be breaking and entering in a locals home. However, when you grab the attention of the owner, she was lovely to us, offering insect repellent, fans and shade during our short visit. Her english was pretty good and she was very... More

Wonderful atmosphere, really charming garden in a great location. Super tasty coffee, toasted every morning, natural and delicious! I wish I could have my coffee every single morning in this place. Just perfect!
