Free Bird Cafe is one of a kind. I first discovered this wonderful place when I visited Chiang Mai in 2017. I came back for a short little stop after visiting Pai and made sure I could have one last meal at this healthy, eco...More

We would like to visit social enterprises in Chiang Mai and hence we were here. This cafe offers vegan food and endeavours to be environmentally friendly by providing bamboo straws. And their help and support to Burmese refugees are much appreciated. The drinks we ordered...More

Came to this vegan cafe after reading amazing reviews and it did not disappoint! This is also the first place in Thailand that I have been able to have a good coffee with almond milk. Service was great and the lady was very smiley and...More

Possibly the best pancakes we've ever had. So so good if you love mango. We had other food there too which was nice. They also have a second hand book shop for 40 baht per book

This place is amazing! We had the mango pancakes, the mango smoothie, the cacao smoothie bowl, and the brownie. The smoothie bowl was sooo chocolatey, fluffy, and creamy. That was my favorite! The vibe and the cause are incredible.

The food was not good. My lavender latte was burnt and not lavender flavored. It had lavender buds on top that is all. The garlic salad was gross. The smoothie bowl was expensive, small, and the worst I've had in Chiang Mai. The service was...More

A hidden gem in Chiang Mai, this place was one of my absolute favorites. Food was insanely good, a nice vegan break with tons of Thai flavors. Highly recommend to anyone.

I loved Free Bird Cafe because their mission is amazing. The atmosphere is great too, and I love their promotion of a sustainable lifestyle and veganism. I was a bit disappointed with the food we ordered - French toast sandwich (soggy and nothing unique), fritters...More

Description
Our beautiful location is on the North side of the moat that surrounds the quaint "old city" of Chiang Mai. It is a perfect place to sit, enjoy the breeze, sunlight and people watching on the main road. The interior is attractive, colorful and bright with our student's art work and long share tables to encourage customers to sit together and make new friends or private tables and a small sofa in the kids corner where there are plenty of books, toys and art supplies to keep the kids happy while parents enjoy their healthy vegetarian or vegan western or local style breakfast, lunch, smoothies or coffee and dessert. We serve many Burmese and ethnic foods that you can't get anywhere else so it is fun to try something new! We also have a fun and funky little Pre-Loved Charity Shop in the cafe where you can not only donate your old clothing, household items, books and more but purchase goods and support our charity at the same time. We have loads of English language novels, travel guides, hats, shoes, scarves, jewelry, men's and women's clothing and more. We also sell organic spirulina, triphala and natural skin care products from local vendors. Please come and check us out today! You can park cars, motorbikes and bicycles along the side of the building.
