Nothing fancy, but very genial, cheap, and open until midnight. This is definitely a fully-stocked bar with good prices on everything, but it's also a restaurant featuring reliably good Western and Thai menu items. Very convenient to the Night Bazaar's southern end at Panthip Plaza.

When in Chiang Mai on a sunday between 18 and 20 it's a must to enjoy the wonderful steak buffet at Gekko Garden. Serving ham steak, roast beef, smoked ham salmon steak ,pork tenderloin, very tasty potato salad, for just 220 bath . 100 bath for the kids only. Will be back ....

Food was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately this was offset by wait staff who shuffled along like it a major pain to do their jobs. With a little customer service oriented management, the place could be really great.

This restaurant permits smoking, in contravention of the Kingdom's law. The Sunday buffet is lukewarm at best. Service, generally, is poor & the owner indifferent. I saw 2 large rats scurrying toward the canal that "flows" (little more than a cesspool) past the kitchen. Can't recommend.

We had been warned off this place by a fellow traveller due to bad service but being a contrarian I thought we should give it a go anyway. Walked in, girl serving ignored us for a bit then said in a surly voice "Sit" as she pointed to a table. While we read the menu she stood next to us... More

I don't like giving bad reviews but if it's necessary to warn others that the breakfast they order is going to taste like swill, then it's warranted. My eggs looked old, the Canadian bacon tasted like it had been washed with vinegar( bad sign) it means the bacon was old and slimey to begin with. I'm not looking forward to... More

I have been to Gekko many times for lunch and dinner over the past couple of years and have recommended the restaurant for those meal periods. I just tried this place for the first time for breakfast. It was terrible. Scambled eggs horribly overcooked. Link sausage billed as "like Jimmy Dean" wasn't edible; Jimmy Dean is rolling in his grave.... More

I had dinner there on 3 nights, and was very pleased with each meal. The coctails were great as well.
