I enjoy eating here. It is a big group kind of place because the servings are big. The service is great!! And the food is good! They have a big variety of menu and you can find all the Chinese food you like here!

This is quite a big place, spacious. The night I was there, they had a female singer on stage (calm Thai music). I enjoyed it. The female staff is very helpful and speaks pretty good english. Lovely looking girls. The size of the dishes are...all offered as medium or large. When ordering multiple dishes (you can share the dishes) I recommend you order medium size (easily shared among 2-3 persons). The dish that really stood out was the prawns with XO sauce. Outstanding! P.s. if you can't finish the food you ordered, on request they will pack up the food so you can take it back with you).More

My second visit to tulou, one of my favourite restaurants in Chiang Mai. Lovely food and great deal on the set menu. The restaurant itself is really beautiful with a live singer. The staff very attentive and polite. Thanks I will be back soon! If...you’re in Chiang Mai I highly recommend visiting here, they have private rooms also, if you want to hold a small dinner partyMore

The restaurant is magnificent, a real work of art. The architecture and décor is stunning and quite something to behold. The service is excellent and the food delicious. The restaurant is ideal for private functions as well. The cleanliness is impeccable, it's HACCP approved. A...great experience!More

This was a most astounding meal, the full experience, and in such a unique and thoughtfully decorated setting. The chefs are clearly in a higher league and the service was impeccable. It was comforting to know that it was of an international standard of hygiene...and safety. If you're in Chiang Mai, visit here. And get the crispy duck - wow.More

One of the largest restaurant in Chiang Mai. Great for coach tour groups. Ideally for one table to many tables. Ample parking. The menu is typical Chinese dishes which are made fresh and very tasty. On my table we each ordered something delicious and different....The dishes were put on the the lazy Susan to share. A good mix of veggie and meaty dishes. The staff were great, helping us choose the right dishes for each of us. Very attentive staff.More

Visited on a Friday evening only to find that the restaurant was very quite. Not the restaurant's fault just lack of tourists in town. Entertainment consisted of two female singers, both very good and not too loud so you could still have a conversation around...your table. The staff were very polite and attentive and explained anything that was not clear. You are presented with a very large menu which includes Dim Sum, unusually only served lunch times. There is a Dim Sum lunch time buffet but have not tried that. Special offers, including half price Peking Duck, were excellent value, but choosing from the very large menu takes time. Portions for most items come in small, medium or large, first visit over ordered, but take home no problem. If in a party would suggest ordering only one main item each at small or medium size plus rice. More than enough for most people. As I am a Thai resident I avoided the Thai food items, which were quite a few, staying with the mainly Cantonese Chinese ones. Good Chinese Restaurants are not easy to find either in Chiang Mai or in Thailand generally, this was definitely one of the better ones and will make regular visits in future. Highly recommended.More

Visiting Tulou is like looking into a beautifully decorated, upscale restaurant in Beijing with all the trimmings and many private rooms with unique furnishings. Tulou has an extensive menu for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The service is excellent and very professional. Our Thai waitress spoke very...good English and Chinese, was very attentive and patiently answered all our questions. We very much enjoyed the Farmer's Fish Soup, Sweet and Sour Fish (sea bass) and several vegetable dishes prepared in different styles with many choices available. Our only criticism was the Shrimp and Chive Dumplings appetizer. The portion was small and lacked flavor. Otherwise we would give Tulou five stars (an excellent rating). We will definitely visit again and we look forward to trying other dishes from their extensive menu.More

The Tulou is probably the best restaurant in Chiang Mai and one of the best Chinese Cuisines I have ever dined in. The Food is incredibly versatile and authentic Chinese. I had Wonton and Dimsum that was like from the gods. The Hakka noudles were...delicious too. But the real highlight is the very friendly and attentive staff. We never had to worry about more of the delicious Jasmin tea and felt spoiled and very well taken care of throuout our visit. If there you might ask the owner to give you a little Tour. If he finds time, he - or his charming wife - are likely to do that, as they are just sweethearts. The place is so special, with many different dining and banquette rooms and each room has it's own charm and furniture. And don't forget to try their homemade liquors or the Moutai schnaps. I never liked strong alcohol but from that stuff I couldn't get enough. I can fully and totally recommend the Tulou and even though it's not cheap for North Thailand, it is worth every Bath you are going to spend.More

We wanted to go to a chinese restaurant for Chinese New Year. Unfortunately, we picked the wrong place. We were in Hong Kong last year and had terrific Peking Duck and wanted to try it again. Tulou had a special set menu for the New...Year an an additional limited ala carte menu, regular menu not available. Of the first three things we ordered, two were unavailable? When the Peking duck came out, It was unrecognizable. There was a plate of rice crackers with what seemed like artifical roast duck skin, and in place of carved roast duck meat, there was a plate of what appeared to be beef with peppersin oyster sauce. That part was only luke warm and was definitely not duck. When we protested they apologized and said it was special Chiang Mai Peking Duck. Yesterdays beef with peppers in Oyster sauce is a far cry from Peking Duck. Sorry Tulou, you fail.More

Not warm welcome, we were surprised by the thickness of the menu, surely many frozen products are served here. We ordered 2 cocktails, my friend was served quickly but I had to wait for mine 15 minutes while there were few customers. Our main dishes...were good with good portions. We ordered two desserts, mine was fine but after 20 minutes my friend was still not served. Asking the waitress, she tells us that this dessert is unavailable even though she had taken the order! What else? We paid the bill a bit disappointed to finish our meal with a mistake.More

6 went for a birthday party 11/21/18. This was our first visit. Menu is huge with a chinese, thai and japanese kitchens. Mussels were spicey, large and the order was 6 on the plate. Complete duck if you order peking duck. Dim sum was excellent...but they missed 1 of my ordered items. Husband had ordered szechuan chicken. 45 minutes later he asked where his order was. Waitress rushed out and came back 1 minute later with cold chicken. Its served on a warmer so we ended up waiting for it to heat up. Beautifully presented, large number of lotus root slices and szechuan spicey. Rest of party did great on their orders.More
