This is quite a big place, spacious. The night I was there, they had a female singer on stage (calm Thai music). I enjoyed it. The female staff is very helpful and speaks pretty good english. Lovely looking girls. The size of the dishes are...all offered as medium or large. When ordering multiple dishes (you can share the dishes) I recommend you order medium size (easily shared among 2-3 persons). The dish that really stood out was the prawns with XO sauce. Outstanding! P.s. if you can't finish the food you ordered, on request they will pack up the food so you can take it back with you).More

My second visit to tulou, one of my favourite restaurants in Chiang Mai. Lovely food and great deal on the set menu. The restaurant itself is really beautiful with a live singer. The staff very attentive and polite. Thanks I will be back soon! If...you’re in Chiang Mai I highly recommend visiting here, they have private rooms also, if you want to hold a small dinner partyMore

This was a most astounding meal, the full experience, and in such a unique and thoughtfully decorated setting. The chefs are clearly in a higher league and the service was impeccable. It was comforting to know that it was of an international standard of hygiene...and safety. If you're in Chiang Mai, visit here. And get the crispy duck - wow.More

One of the largest restaurant in Chiang Mai. Great for coach tour groups. Ideally for one table to many tables. Ample parking. The menu is typical Chinese dishes which are made fresh and very tasty. On my table we each ordered something delicious and different....The dishes were put on the the lazy Susan to share. A good mix of veggie and meaty dishes. The staff were great, helping us choose the right dishes for each of us. Very attentive staff.More

Visited on a Friday evening only to find that the restaurant was very quite. Not the restaurant's fault just lack of tourists in town. Entertainment consisted of two female singers, both very good and not too loud so you could still have a conversation around...your table. The staff were very polite and attentive and explained anything that was not clear. You are presented with a very large menu which includes Dim Sum, unusually only served lunch times. There is a Dim Sum lunch time buffet but have not tried that. Special offers, including half price Peking Duck, were excellent value, but choosing from the very large menu takes time. Portions for most items come in small, medium or large, first visit over ordered, but take home no problem. If in a party would suggest ordering only one main item each at small or medium size plus rice. More than enough for most people. As I am a Thai resident I avoided the Thai food items, which were quite a few, staying with the mainly Cantonese Chinese ones. Good Chinese Restaurants are not easy to find either in Chiang Mai or in Thailand generally, this was definitely one of the better ones and will make regular visits in future. Highly recommended.More

Heard about how grand and huge this restaurant is,....but was also warned by our Friend that the food was horrible!.but still we decided to give a try. Indeed , the place was huge and decorated to the TOP with bad taste! The food was not...good , just as my Friend had said. But nevertheless, it was an experience . Thank goodness for the company we had ,..otherwise, it would had been a total disaster!More

Visiting Tulou is like looking into a beautifully decorated, upscale restaurant in Beijing with all the trimmings and many private rooms with unique furnishings. Tulou has an extensive menu for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The service is excellent and very professional. Our Thai waitress spoke very...good English and Chinese, was very attentive and patiently answered all our questions. We very much enjoyed the Farmer's Fish Soup, Sweet and Sour Fish (sea bass) and several vegetable dishes prepared in different styles with many choices available. Our only criticism was the Shrimp and Chive Dumplings appetizer. The portion was small and lacked flavor. Otherwise we would give Tulou five stars (an excellent rating). We will definitely visit again and we look forward to trying other dishes from their extensive menu.More
