Baan Khanitha has 2 restaurants reasonably close to Chatrium. Sathorn road and Asiatique by the river. The restaurants look good and are not overly expensive from a western standpoint. Mains are around 300-600 baht. My impression is that they hold pack on the spice and punch at least for westerners. Food is pleasant enough but not at all exciting. I... More

Normal thai food and is very over price. Pad Thai seem like only dishes is nice beside the ambiance. For the price there are any choices to chose from and much better food.

Our first night on this trip, we arrived quite late, but the manager kept the kitchen open so that we could get something to eat. The service was very good, unhurried and friendly. They took care to work around my partners food allergies, and we are very well. Delicious massaman curry and good pad Thai. Not cheap, but good value... More

My husband and I were very hungry and tired of fried street food. The meals here were very tasty and very fresh! The tom Kha with river prawn was amazing! The prawn was as big as the bowl and very tender. Lovely!

We have eaten there twice since it moved to Sathorn and on both occasions the food has been mediocre and the service either tepid or just poor. Sad for a place with a past good reputation.

You won't get the best main dishes here but the desserts are exceptionally good. Tried the dumplings in coconut milk and dumplings in ginger soup. The dumplings literally melt in your mouth and the soup tastes awesome. Will definitely come back for the desserts. Excellent.

The food was really good traditional Thai style, but the restaurant itself was looking old and "passé", the staff was attentive but lacking of motivation and rounding too much. But definitely the food worth a visit by itself.

Located in the Asiatique market area. This to me was a middle of the road Thai resto. The surroundings are very nice located right next to the river, so it has good ambiance and is romantic for couples. The staff was "good" but the food left a little to be desired. Yes it was fresh and well prepared but it... More

Rather than eat at the Banyan Tree where we were staying, we decided to pop down the road for some lock food. The service was amazing and food was simply delicious. The Masaman curry was tasty and authentic. The little touches of complimentary appetizers made this place worth a revisit.

Thank Alistair C

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
