This was my second visit to the Baan Khanitha and again I left happy and full of nice Thai food. Easy to find, the place has a large old building with a more modern annex. I have tried both and they are comfortable. This time we sat outside for dinner. Cocktails were mixed well and arrived ice cold and quickly.... More

This is Thai restaurant selling local food but much more high class than most local - the villa is really impressive and the food even more impressive!

It is a beautiful restaurant with great surroundings and decor. Unfortunately the food and the services really required a lot of improvement. I am wondering if it is due to their existing reputations so they don't really care and there will always be some fans. I am a bit of a foodie who is lucky that I exposed to a... More

We don't believe that Thai food was meant to taste better than what it does at Baan Khanitha. We ordered the typical dishes - papaya salad with prawns and squid (som tum), the chicken coconut milk soup (tom kha ghai) , a tom yum soup with king prawns and a whole sea bass with Thai lime sauce. We had the... More

Conveniently located just a few minutes walk from Silom MRT and about 10 min walk from Sala Daeng BTS. Food is good, restaurant and atmosphere is gorgeous. Would definitely go again!

Went there after many years and glad to found they still keep up with their high standard of services and foods. A bit on a expensive side but worthwhile to try their delicious Thai cuisine with attentive and friendly services. Nice selection of reasonably priced wine too. All menus are written in English and you will find many staffs who... More

Baan Khanitha served the best food we found in Bangkok during our--admittedly--brief stay. The complimentary starter was a delicious mix of toasted coconut, tiny dried shrimp, peanuts, finely chopped cucumber, chopped hot peppers, and a sauce that we wrapped in a leaf to form a little cornucopia. Pop that in your mouth and wait for all the flavors to explode.... More

We are a frequent visitor to this restaurant and I thought we should wrute to share our experience. Food - we've always loved the complimentary starter plate, a must try is one of the best tong yum kung in town. In our opinion, it has the right balance of spices, heat, flavour, very fresh river prawns, etc. The grilled Angkor... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
