It is advertised as a n authentic Mexican restaurant . An "authentic Thai version" would perhaps be more adequate. Food is, indeed, a reasonably good approximation of Mexican cuisine, with all fajitas, chimichangas etc. served. This is a new version of the old "Senor Pico" restaurant. Some may regret the absence of the Cuban bands. There is, nonetheless, a live... More

Firstly the "live band" was more of noise than music to me. I have heard better Mexican band. So they are trying to create an atmosphere of Mexican dining but sadly it didn't go well with me. To make things worse, I had to wait more than 30 mins for my food. Imagine me enduring the music and after that... More

Then hop on down to hotel Rembrandt's MEXICANO. They serve truly delicious authentic (as can be) Mexican food and drinks. I especially enjoyed the flautas.

I live near this restaurant and come here all the time. When the name changed to Mexicana, we noticed more F&B promotions (such as Taco Tuesday), and the regular guacamole lady was replaced, which made us sad as the guacamole was 11/10 before and now it’s just a 9. The burritos here are huge and delicious - especially the vegetarian... More

Some good some bad. Tacos from the menu were good. Some items from the buffet line were decent. Tacos de res was fantastic as was the pork. You need to request a menu to know that they can be ordered. Wasn't offered. Music was good. Soups were good. Deserts were meh and the juices were really sweet. Most likely going... More

Dear Aclary, Thank you for coming to our weekly Saturday "El Brunch" at the Mexicano. We are pleased that you enjoyed the food. The brunch, as you correctly point out, does not only include the sumptuous buffet, but also an a la carte menu with delicacies made to order. This should of course have been presented to you and apologies... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
