This restaurant is located on the roof of the hotel Banyan Tree and you can see all the city from above, a really breathtaking experience. The food is excellent also, and they serve international cuisine and wines. For access you have to wear shoes and long trousers.

Came here in December for a treat as my mum had a rough year so wanted to treat her. The views from The Vertigo Bar and Restaurant are magnificent. They stretch for miles and miles, you can really appreciate how massive Bangkok is from up here. The views are stunning though and this bar/restaurant is definitely worth the trip. I... More

My friend and I treated ourselves to one night at the Banyan Tree Hotel. It was pure luxury. We had drinks in the Vertigo Moon Bar and room service delivered. The food was exquisite

We were recommended this bar over another (20mins away by taxi and with a stiff dress code). Arrival at the hotel was greeted pleasantly and a quick lift ride to the 59th floor to be greeted pleasantly again and shown the way up another 3 flights of stairs to the bar - a little difficult to access (having to walk... We spent three days in this wonderful hotel. The service was extremely attentive and kind. The hotel amenities, specially the swimming pool at the terrace and the bar at the rooftop are impressive. Our room was cosy and very smart, which had a large bathroom and a small living room. Finally the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

There are places to stay all up and down Sathorn. The Banyan Tree and Ascott are exceptional and can be considered top shelf. The Urbana Sathorn is bottom shelf.

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
