It is a family restaurant. Not even closed to be luxury. Closed to the entrance there is a huge melting pot that boil since beginning of year 70. One star Michelin. I took the brod with beef and fried rice with veg. Drinking ice tea...Chrisantemus Flavor. Price 10 Euro.More

In the ever-changing landscape of **Krung Thep**, this place offers something beautiful: Tradition and consistency. Everything is super slow-cooked and the broth is filled with collagen goodness! Dine in and you can watch how this legendary operation runs. There are a ton of pictures already...here on Google 😝More

I made my research before visiting Wattana Panich. And the rumor is true. One of the best beef soup I tasted. The long wait is worth it. Only donwside is the cleanliness of the restaurant. There's a lot of room for improvement on that.

Worth the travel to this restaurant! Soup was out of this world and definitely a must try for anyone visiting Bangkok. Menu was in Thai and English but we asked our server for recommendations. I had the famous Beef Noodle Soup and it was full...of flavor! Meat was tender and soup was incredible. My husband had their Pad-si-iew with chicken and the noodles and flavors were amazing!More

This place needs no introduction being famous for their 50 year old soup. Wattana Panich is located in the Ekkamai area about an 18 minute walk from Ekkamai BTS station. It’s a large establishment, with open tables downstairs, the upstairs dining area has air conditioning...and a restroom. So is it worth the hype? I’d say yes. It’s a very small but delicious soup, at a very affordable price. For most people, it will take more than one bowl to satisfy your hunger. Or try one of the many other food spots in the Michelin Guide in the area, because there is quite a few. Would I say it is a must try? I won’t go that far but it is a tasty bowl of Beef Noodle Soup.More

We were staying in the area of the restaurant and whenever we walked by we seen a long line. The curiosity finally got us and we dined there and so glad we did. We were not aware of the history of the restaurant nor its...Michelin guide recommendation. Without a doubt best beef broth we have ever tasted, noodles were fantastic. Could just eat broth all day long and I am not a soup person. So goodMore

It is a tourist trap with hyped prices. The meals are normal meals that you can find easily every where in Thailand. Enjoy your trip and stay away from such overhyped places.

Food was good, but did not live up to the hype. We could have easily skipped this and had another dish just as good elsewhere. The only thing special/unique about this shop is their claim to a 40 year old continuously boiled broth. The drinks...are super sweet (perhaps can try to ask for less sweet) and the atmosphere in the shop is quite warm.More

A-MAZ-ZZZING! You have to check out this flavorfulbeef noodle soup that has been cooking for generations! You can order it with small or large noodles; it’s a small portion but it was only 100 baht (less than $3 usd). It’s totally worth going; add it...to your To-Do List for Bangkok!More

One can hardly find such a stall these days… the broth has been kept boiling for decades! Some cannot understand but once you taste it, it is straight to OMG! Had the beef noodles (soup) and the herbal goat meat soup. The beef broth was...clear, not overpowering but tasty. The meat was tender and fresh. The meat in the herbal goat meat soup was really tender and even if you don’t take goat meat, this meat has no weird smell. The goji in the herbal soup brings out the flavour in the soup and there is a sweetness. Worth the 20mins walk from BTS Ekkamai.More

First visit after covid and we had the hotpot family style. The mutton hotpot was delicious, soup flavorful and mutton smell not too strong. I definitely agree that the soup is less flavorful for the beef hotpot than way before and portions are definitely alot...small and more expensive. However it's still a happy and enjoyable meal here. On the second floor there is aircon so your hotpot wont come with heavy sweating. Expect to pay 200 - 300 baht per person when you are having hotpot, if you are just here for noodles it's roughly 80 - 120 baht depending what you order ka. Another dish famous here which people dont realise is the chicken stew over rice. A must try dish here ka.More

I had great expectations for my noodles here. I had watched Mark Weins coming here. I had even booked a nearby hotel to be walking distance to this restaurant. I scanned the wall of accolades and awards on the entire wall of the restaurant before...our food arrive at our table. For sure, this place will be great, definitely a lot better than the noodle soup place that our cousins took us to yesterday at thong lo pochana on thong lo road, which they had bought a condo at soi thong lo 18. Our noodles came and it looked good. My daughter tasted it and said it wasn’t as good as the noodles we had yesterday. I was taking pictures and was the last of our group of three to taste it. Oh man, I can’t describe the utter disappointment that I felt at that moment, the moment that I ate my first then second then third bite. Maybe MY bowl was amiss? It tasted greasy, and flavorless and unsalted. It wasn’t even an average bowl of noodle soup. I conferred with the others in the group and they said theirs were about the same. Sighhhhh. It was the last bowl of noodles that we had before we head to the airport and leave Bangkok, and there wasn’t enough time to go to the other place that we went yesterday. I was speechless. The soup was flavorless and diluted. Apparently, the cook did not taste the soup before sending it out. I don’t recommend you coming here. It is a waste of your time and money.More
