wonderful eatery with remarkable stream see, had standard lunch set menu, light flame broiled perfectly, delicate with some fresh all things considered, came sizzling hot can't expect more from the primary course. Had cakes from the sweet truck rather than menu, lemon tart Hazelnut pie and raspberry tart all amazing.

I recently had a lunch set at Le Normandie at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. It was wonderful. I had splendid French cuisine with superb service with Chao Praya river. The summer lunch special price was around THB 1,500 - THB 3,000 per person for a 3-course menu with choices of marvelous desserts. The service was impeccable as all... More

4th time here and again exceeds expectations. Lovely welcome back from all staff. Food excellent, service even better. Yes, has nice views but that's not what you come for here. 3 courses and 3 matching wines for @$120, great value lunch. Outstanding.

Our first time back since refurbishment which happily has not changed this restaurant in any way. Same quality of food & service and the superb dessert trolley has been retained Hurrah! We had 4 course set lunch with wine pairings which provides fantastic value for money at around 7400 bahts. Only wish they would relax 'jacket for dinner' rule so... More

Have been here on several occasions for the absolute best in fine dining in Thailand. Serving french cuisine, Le Normandie boasts a top-notch wine list and atmosphere. Proper formal attire (coat and tie for gentlemen) is required and bookings are imperative. Le Normandie occasionally holds a cheese buffet that is to die for.

As soon as you walk into the hotel and know you are going to the premier restaurant you feel special. On arrival and you walk through the restaurant admiring the view just to find out you have a table overlooking the river, you know that this is going to be good. We celebrated our 20th anniversary here tonight and what a fantastic experience. The food and wine were superb but what made it special were the outstanding staff. Big shout to the sommelier, the French manager, the waiter who has worked has worked there for 20 years and the greeter who took the best selfies of me, my husband and the... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
