We decided to try this Restaurant as it was near the Hotel and knowing MO London I was expecting something good. The service was not good, think they hoping for an early night as really couldn't be bothered. Food was nothing to rave about and very expensive.

Restaurant a 2 minute ride acroos the river from the Mandarin Oriental which owns the restaurant. Very good food and service. Entertainment by Thai dancers very good. But not much variation to the performances. But worth going to without a doubt.

We took the hotel shuttle across the river to dine at Sala Rim Naam one night. The service, food, wine and atmosphere made it a very special night.

We were passing through Bangkok for a day on our way back to Hong Kong from Angkor Wat. Because of the Election protests we checked into the Mandarin Oriental as it is on the river right by a ferry stop. After a day of sightseeing, we were ready for a decent meal and opted for the banquet and show at... More

We came here based off reviews but we were quite disappointed. The food was average overall. Some dishes were good, but most were not impressive, especially for the price. It was more expensive than I spend in the US for a really nice restaurant. With the taxes and fees they add, it came out to about $100 per person. Add... More

We were staying at the Mandarin and it was our first trip to Bangkok so had pre booked this event with our booking agent. It was a nice Thai show in a nice room. We like the fact that you didn't know which dish was coming and all was very good. I would not say the food was 5* but... More

Booked table for 7.30 but arrived at 8 because of bangkok protest related traffic trouble! This meant I was more rushed than other guests but still had plenty of time - finished eating around 9.30. Show is very extravagant although some dancing (traditional) is slow and can seem odd. Costumes and make up incredible, room it is held in is... More

This is an ideally located restaurant... You get great views of the river, and are welcomed in a warm manner by the attentive staff. For those who are visiting bangkok for the first time, this is a great experience. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the food. It has - like many other restaurants - been adjusted to please... The food at this fabulous restaurant is absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented in a magnificent setting right on the river. There is an indoor part to this restaurant where there are nightly shows of traditional Thai dancing, but we chose to eat outside on the terrace enjoying the exquisite views of the main hotel across the water. This place is faultless... More

The Thai restaurant of the Mandarin Oriental hotel lies at the other side of the river. There is a fast shuttle service with boats. It takes about three minutes to reach the restaurant. Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
