Sala Rim Naam serves you the traditional Thai dishes Set with a classical Thai dance show every night. The venue is on another side of the river opposite the Oriental Hotel side. You can either park on that side directly or on the hotel side and use the hotel boat transfer. They offers both lunch and dinner. For lunch, a... More

20 years ago I had a great experience at Sala Rim Naam and insisted on bringing my husband with me this trip, though he was a little shocked at the price (about $80 per person) given this was Thailand! The food was no longer a Thai buffet (which was really amazing---last time:-( ) and was a set menu instead. Food... More

We were in a group, and some of us has been there once. We love the place, there is a good crowd, good atmosphere, and good services, BUT the food as an average.

We had pre booked a table here for our first night in Bankok. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We were not rushed at all and despite the humidity it was lovely to sit here and watch the boats pass by as we ate. Waiting staff were attentive without us being aware of them. Wine was kept chilled in... More

The overall experience exceeds the food quality alone and justify the trip and price. Walking thru the hotel it's already a great experience, then being ferried across the river and then seated and well assisted by attentive staff add to a truly great evening. Tables by the river already booked, but second row was good enough. Food is good hotel-quality... More

Firstly, the location of the terrace part of the restaurant is great. The breeze from the river and views of the passing boats make it more than just a standard venue, however the food and service are major let downs. We sat down at 8 pm, and waited one hour exactly for our starters which I'm sorry to say reminded... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
