Located next to our hotel in a historic old mansion, the decor is lovely. Service was top notch and the food offerings were many. We tried many dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them all. It was a calm, relaxing and enjoyable dining experience in the middle...of the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Would definitely go back.More

Found this place through a promo on American Express and visited on the last night in Bangkok. So very glad we did. The food was truly exceptional, and the service was above par. I had shorts on and as soon as I arrived, I was...politely given a pair of trousers to wear (so big I could have camped in them), which was great as I wasn't turned away. The ambience and the surroundings were memorable, and a visit when in Bangkok is definitely recommended. The little shop inside gives you the opportunity to take some memories away with you as well. Perfect.More

This restaurant was adjacent to our hotel so we thought we would explore it. Little did we know it would be one of the highlights of our time in Bangkok! The service was exceptional, as was the food and cocktail selection. I recommend the pina...colada! We opted for the floral dumplings and rose spring rolls, the vegetarian green curry and the local vegetable curry, both with white and black organic jasmine rice. The presentation and attention to detail can't be faulted. I will let the photos speak for themselves. Looking forward to returning one day, thank you for making our last night so memorable.More

I cannot say enough good about every aspect of this restaurant.Starting with the obvious…the food is spectacular. there is something for everyone and not just something…something special.Vegan, spicy, non spicy, beef, fish, pork, chicken, this place has it all. The vibe and decor is so beautiful sot of...old school yet cozy and warm. The staff bends over backwards to please. Unfortunately I was there on my last day or I would’ve returned several times and signed up for one of their cooking classes as well. Cannot finish without mentioning a mango sticky ric and Durian cheesecake. All superb. Do not miss this experience.More

I visited Blue Elephant for dinner during my recent holiday in Bangkok, and it was one of the best dining experiences of my stay there! My husband and I have visited this restaurant before, several years ago, and both the food and service were just...as excellent as I remembered them being. Though I was a solo diner this time I was made to feel welcome and comfortable, and the service throughout the evening was warm and attentive. My main server, whose name I forgot to note, was truly wonderful. He was knowledgeable about the menu, able to make suggestions and recommendations which were spot on, and engaged me in conversation and made me feel very welcome. I loved the atmosphere too, elegant and classic but still comfortable, with beautiful decor. And the food was exceptional! I tried the banana blossom cakes for an appetiser, based on my server's recommendation, and absolutely loved them. They were crispy fried fritters stuffed full of flavour, with a great texture and perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavours. Even the sauce they came with was amazing! And for my main course I went with the signature grilled pork ribs, which were so amazing. The meat itself was so tender and well cooked, the glaze was sweet and caramelised, and the accompanying salad and sticky rice went very well with the ribs. And the portion was huge! The wine was lovely as well, I had a great shiraz with my ribs. Unfortunately no room for dessert, but I'll be trying that chocolate mousse on my next visit. Yes, the prices are high here, compared to many other restaurants in the city, but you are paying for excellent quality food in an elegant old building with wonderful service, so for a special night out I think it's well worth it, and will be returning on my next visit to Bangkok for sure!More

The restaurant is located in a gorgeous house which reminds me some of the colonial houses I have visited across Indochina. The building is well decorated keeping the atmosphere of old times, with colourful flowers everywhere. The food is served in beautiful crockery which match...perfectly with the environment. Food has high quality, fresh local products, and very well cooked. Highly recommended. For those that think it is pricy, remember how much cost the maintenance and you pay for the whole experience. Staff is professional and kind.More

The food at the restaurant was good but far from incredible. For 2 people we paid $130. for lunch in US dollar. The restaurant charges you an additional service fee and tax on top of their bill, which is rare in Thailand. Our lunch consisted...of 2 alcoholic drinks, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. Considering that your US dollar should go farther in Thailand, this $130. US dollar meal would be equal to paying at least $160. US dollar in the United States, if not more. This was positively a dining experience not worth $130. US dollars in Thailand.More
