It was wonderful to go out and eat at this beautiful, spacious Thai wooden house in the middle of Bangkok. The service is lovely, the staff very nice, and they were happy to interact with our party in Thai and English as we wanted. The...food was interesting, with plenty of strong and delicate flavors, and with adjustable chill levels! The lamb mussaman with roti was extremely well done and several of us agreed we would have it next time! We enjoyed the dessert selection with a little of several of the desserts (the coconut flan was a favorite, as was the chocolate mousse).More

Apart from the set menu, the a la carte items are the same We usually...go for the less spicy items like chicken satay, lamb massamum curry, duck confit, chinese spinach. All very good Very good service Probably 1 of the best non-michelin thai restaurants around Used to be bustling pre-covid, hopefully 2H 2021 will be better with the vaccinesMore

The colonial mansion with its colonial decor is enchanting, and the service is good. They set out to provide "royal Thai cuisine." The food is good. But it is Thai food, and the taste and ingredients are not really different from what you get in...the streets or small family shops. So ... to pay in excess of US$50 for a Thai meal?? And US$10-15 for a drink?? Some wealthy foreigners may like it but for most rational people, it is beyond ridiculous. This place has long had a reputation among local Thais that it is a place only to bring foreigners to.More

Came here post covid and only 2 tables occupied over 3 floors. Probably my top 3 thai restaurants in bangkok Excellent food. They have set menus as well as a la carte. Also don’t be put off by the 3-elephant spice level, they can reduce...upon request. The lamb curry is wow. We had the beef curry, seabass, king prawns and chicken satay, all very good. Yes, you may order dishes that are not spicy for the kids. Or request sauce to be served aside. Enjoy!
