Quirky, small, not really like a hotel but fun and the view is sensational, I really enjoyed this place.

Arun Residence is a charming place to be in Bangkok, the restaurant is also quite good and the bar upstairs has a wonderful sight of the Arun temple and the River.

Food was OK papaya salad was good and tasty, a bit overpriced but worth for the view. They need to improve their service experience. We won't go back there again.

Beautiful food, beautiful setting. My wife and I came here for a beautiful meal here overlooking the river whilst in Bangkok for our honeymoon. Fantastic comprehensive menu with international classics as well as traditional Thai food. The cocktail menu is also great. The roof top deck and bar is fantastic, (but after a few cocktails be careful navigating the stairs!)... More

Arun situated on the river of Chao Praya, the view was very nice, great!!! But food and drink were a bit average!!! Nothing to compare with the real Thai cosine!!!

My cousin and I waited for a pasta dish for more than 35mins with all possible noises you can imagine; staff chatting, telephone ringing, mainstream music, speed boat, fruit blenders and guests talking. It was stressful being there. The indoor room has A/C, which is really nice. But it's 15m2! If you'd like to spend a calm day, it's not... More

It should go without saying that this is a heavily touristy place, and it has that vibe immediately upon entering. The staff have that brusque, business-like feel to them that all such places have, and in a sense there's nothing wrong with that, it is after all a business there to make money, but don't go expecting any pleasantries that... The combination of heritage building, riverside atmosphere and views of the famous temple Wat Arun cause you to chill, the rooms and decor follow that theme and you should go with the flow and take it all in. The evening walks connection with local culture is special

The food here is not good. The worst pad Thai I have ever had. Most of the food has too much sugar. It is rated highly but I would not eat here. The only good thing is the most divine view of the river and Wat Arun across the river. Lovely spot for a coffee Eat elsewhere

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
