It get's busy at dinner with a loyal clientele of Swiss expats, Thai locals and the like. Swiss efficiency and flair. Hands on approach of the owners oversees cooking that is satisfying and consistent without tripping-up itself by trying to be something it is not, a trait that continues apace at new restaurants opening elsewhere in this great metropolis. Chesa... More

Loved the visit for dinner to Chesa. Hadn't tasted Swiss dishes like raclette, fondue and rosti for years since we left Basel and Geneva. Firstly the owner speaks truly excellent English which was nice! Parking was available in secured parking. The food itself was authentic - we tried the raclette as well as the fondue. Really enjoyable with great service.... More

Very poor service, had the owner to welcome our group of 3, well, they welcomed my friend that they seems to know, but not even said a word to me or our other friend. And it went like this the entire time we were there, like i was not even at the table. Up until the bill came, then i... More

One of the best restaurants I've eaten at in bangkok. The cheese fondue, racklet and tomato soup are highly recommended. The toblerone mousse is also fantastic. Since it is a quaint little place in a by-lane it may be difficult to locate. However, you will not come out disappointed once you've eaten there!

Being a regular at this place I really do enjoy the consistency of food quality, authentic taste, the friendly staff which is working there since years and the hospitality of the Swiss owners. You simply cannot go wrong here

Yes. It is possible to have a real Swiss cheese fondue in Bangkok. Chesa restaurant is the place. But they have much more. The menue is very attractive, so is the location and the service. Was there 2 times and was worth every baht.

Chesa Swiss Restaurant had been a home-away-from-home for most Swiss residences in Thailand. The dining outlet served as a meeting place for most Swiss who craved for their national cuisine. The restaurant is centrally located on Sukhumvit Road nearby Asoke intersection. We were familiar with the excellent food and services when they started close to 20 years back. We are... More

Swiss is not one of my favourite cuisines but my experience to Chesa last week is one I will not forget. Run by 2 Swiss chefs this eaterie is a small, cozy restaurant quaintly located in a lane in one of the busiest streets of Bangkok. The traditional Cheese Fondue is a must - have and for dessert I would... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
