Delicious food in a bright, spacious, clean, tidy, friendly space. I ate the mixed meats platter on injera and enjoyed a barley drink with it. The staff was warm and kind. I will look forward to dining here again.

For years, I ate Ethiopian food weekly when I lived in the US and it has been the cuisine I miss most in Asia. So words cannot describe how happy I was to discover Taye. The food here is so flavorful and the service is...always great. Every time I visit BKK this is the first place I come to eat.More

This was my third time going to Taye, and it will not be my last! Taye provides excellent Ethiopian food and a great experience. I definitely recommend going here with a group of friends, as the plates are designed to be shared. With a group,...it allows you to order and try more dishes. But if you don't have a group, don't let that hinder you! My favorite dishes were the vegetarian platter, derek tibs, and meat firfir. Typically, the dishes are not served with utensils. The injera is used to pick up and wrap around the different vegetables or meats. The flavor of injera makes me think of sourdough bread. I really liked the contrast between the sour injera and the sweet or savory dishes. I highly recommend ordering the coffee. It is served after the meal, and comes on a tray with some burning incense. I actually really liked the contrast between the scent of the incense and the first taste of the coffee. I usually don't drink my coffee black, but this coffee was so good it didn't need anything added to it! It made me think of a rich, creamy dark chocolate. Can't wait to go back!More

This was my first foray into African food. I've had many African lovers but never tried the food. So I was hot with excitement at the prospect of eating something new. I ordered what was described as an Ethiopian beef stew with diced pieces of...meat, served on a traditional flat bread called injera. The bread was nice, the gravy was not to our liking. The disappointing part is the meat. It comprised about 8 microscopic pieces of meat (1 cm x 1 cm). It was hoped that the bread & gravy would fill me up given the meat portion was sooo sooo tiny. A starvation diet some may say. See the pics attached. Can you even see any diced meat cubes ? The meat is served in a black traditional dish which looked inviting. The menu pictures are misleading. The actual meat serves are small & gravy provided is pentiful - giving the misleading impression of 'big' portions. All in all this food is an acquired taste for beginers. The restaurant has got an African charm but is quite dark. The toilets are not clean & sink tap not working. Prices are on the high side given the quality & quantity of food on offer. A nice one time experience.More

My wife and I were finally able to try this restaurant after several misses including a period when they were closed due to COVID. We had the veggie sampler (300 baht) and an extra mixed salad (lettuce/tomatoes/dressing with some hot pepper pieces) (100 baht). The...food was very good including the yellow lentils, red puree lentils, cabbage, string beans and puree of some green vegetable. One order was filling for both of us. I am used to getting an extra piece of two of the injera, but the injera on the plate where the veggies are put were enough. I could have probably asked for another piece - but I always eat too much anyway it was good I didn't. Very good. Highly recommend. The soi looks a bit seedy to a newbie, but it is fine, its just the ethiopian guys hang out there. And there is a marvelous ethiopian fabric store on the soi with amazing bright patterns of cloth.More

We enjoyed the veg and non veg combo and shiro wot with fresh ingera. The restaurant is a bit small and always full. If you plan to go, I recommend to make a reservation.

If you are looking for a genuine taste of Ethiopia, then visiting Taye's restaurant is definitely worth it. I went to the restaurant with my mom and enjoyed a tasty "yetsom beyaynetu", a vegetarian dish, which was absolutely tasty and reminded me of back home....The restaurant also serves other authentic Ethiopian dishes as well as great coffee prepared Ethiopian style. It is a pleasant experience dining here and we will be returning for more!More

Excellent Ethiopian food; we had the meat platter, one of the lentil dishes, and the kitfo (the latter was particularly good). Relaxed atmosphere, and good if somewhat laid-back service.

Lovely food, basic surroundings, improved recently, but terribly sick both of us after eating here. Don’t ask us why? We visit BKK frequently and eat everywhere without falling sick, this one is a mystery.

Visited early August. The venue itself was clean and Ethiopian themed, couldn’t mistake it for another cuisine. Even though we came back 3 times because they didn’t have injera (our favourite part of the food), the lady serving insisted they would have some depending on...when it’d come in from the airport. Eventually it did and we were set The menu, reasonably priced and easy to navigate with all the usual classic Ethiopian dishes, we tried the Meat and Vegetarian platters. Food came out relatively quick to how many people were dining. Our dinner itself amazing and well worth the time waited, great flavours and a truly wonderful diner tucked away in a major part of Thailand. Would recommend 10/10 for food, my only quirk is that is if you love injera like I do you may/may not have to wait. I would go backMore
