Quite surprised by a friends recommendation to try Kai for Sunday roast - we've used it for fish dinners etc but never a Roast. We were thrilled to find the choice of dishes available suited all of our tastes and the meat was very fresh...and moist unlike some of the other options available across the city. The accompaniment of well prepared veg topped this off very well. Ended up staying for hours. The staff cant do enough for you - well done everyone at KaiMore

We hadn’t been here for awhile and it just got better. We had the Sunday roast platter for 2 and there was plenty of food to go around. The pork belly really stood out amongst the rest. Yorkshire pudding was big and crunchy. The kids’...portion for the roast was of decent size as well. We asked for some mussels to be cooked with spaghetti for our son as it’s off the menu and it’s done great. We finished off with some ice cream for kids and a sticky toffee pudding which was delicious. Definitely a great place for great food. Service was wonderful as well.More

My friend and I had lunch at this restaurant a few weeks ago. Nice ambience and staff. I had the lamb with mashed potatoes and it was delicious plus very fulfilling. My friend had a fish burger and she loved it too. I think prices...were fair. I can't wait to be back!More

Great New Zealand style restaurant. Delicious food. Very friendly staff. Not the cheapest place but really good. And a very nice atmosphere.

It used to be good, although a bit expensive. But probably due to Covid and fewer customers, they have kept the prices but made the portions much smaller, and everything extra charged ! Quality reasonable, value - very poor now, and in fact disappointing.

We visited again Kai New Zealand for Sunday lunch. My wife had the eggs Benedict and I ordered the NZ lamb chops. Both dishes were very nice. Service is as always professional and the vibe on week ends is always very nice with many expatriates.

The selection of Sunday roast is very good. Both the beef and the lamb are tasty with plenty of trimmings on the plate. There is enough for me to share with my 8 year old. The kid’s burger also looks wonderful although they can be...a bit lighter on the sauce spread on the buns. The lemon cake is nice if you like lemon. It’s more like a steamed sponge cake covered with lemon sauce. Good for sharing for sure. Service is good with nice decor and ambiance. Will definitely come again.More

Disappointed - been several times before and had a great experience! Order oyster while we decided on our starters and main course and what arrived was not as per the picture, I don’t like big fat oyster ... so didn’t eat these! Husband ate them...and waitress care factor zero!! Starters where lovely and nicely presented. When we ordered we requested 30 mins between our starter and main course, which we thought the waiter understood! Half way through my starter they brought my main course! Seriously .... I can’t eat two dishes at once!!! No apology nothing...... and then another waitress had the audacity to tell us our main courses are ready..... REALLY NOT HAPPY NOW! Not sure if she meant hurry up with your starter??? Again explained they we asked for a 30 minute break in between courses!! We have lived in Thailand long enough to know to request this! Really love Kai - have Recommended it to so many people.... very very disappointed this time! Guess as the waiting staff get Setvice as it’s automaticity added ... they don’t care! We were offers a complimentary glass of wine .... after we paid the bill ... too late with your service recovery. Good as alway good.... bit please sort out your service and a bit more care!!More

A friend and I visited there especially to sample their famous Sunday lunch. The restaurant had a really nice feel about it as soon as we walked in with friendly and welcoming staff. The menu is extensive and the descriptions of the food made my...mouth water. Seeing as though our object of going there on a Sunday was to sample the Sunday roast, we opted for the sharing platter for two people. The meal arrived pretty quickly and we were presented with a feast of meat, veg’ and Yorkshire pudding on a large wooden board with sauces and gravy. The selection of meats on the platter consisted of lamb, chicken, beef (cooked to our request), and pork (belly). The selection of veg’ included carrots, peas, onions, broccoli and of course, roast potatoes. The gravy was delicious and we requested extra. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate mud cake which tasted divine. It was served warm and you could subtly taste the Jack Daniels in the rich dark cake. It was topped with a blob of whipped cream and the cake was floating in a creme Anglaise sauce. My friend ordered the fruit crumble with custard which he assured me was just as delicious as my dessert. All in all, it was probably one of the nicest meals I have ever had in Bangkok and I’ve been here 11 years! Not the cheapest of Sunday lunches but at this place, you get what you pay for!! (2,300 baht for the sharing platter, 2 soda drinks and 2 desserts). Just be aware that the VAT and service charge are not included in the menu price, so add an additional 17% to whatever prices you see.More
