Over-rated

Kai used to be good but has now become overpriced, poor quality and mediocre service. This is Bangkok and there are much better restaurants out there that offer good food and value for money. When eating dinner, the staff allowed some backpackers to plonk their...stinky rucks down right by our table. Disgusting.More

Great place for Great so Great food for Couples or a Group

This is a great place to enjoy some great food. A great selection that caters for most tastes. In our time in Bangkok we are there twice because we enjoyed it so much.

Best New Zealand Restaurant in Bangkok

If you are looking for a New Zealand restaurant in Bangkok, I would like to recommend this one. The location is very good, you can reach here by BTS station and walk for 3 mins. All the food was so fresh and delicious. Their staff...were so nice, kind and very friendly. They have very high experience in recommending good choices/ courses. Don't forget to have 'Pavlova' for your dessert. Highly recommend! I definitely would like to again.More

Awesome Spot

We are regulars to Kai. We live not far from Kai and probably call it one of our locals. The food is always top shelf, drink selections are very adequate (specials all the time) and the SERVICE is The Best. Nothing is any trouble and...they will always assist with anything you require. We love Kai.More

Great Sunday Roast in Bangkok

We booked a table for New Years Day 2023. Everything was ready and waiting upon our arrival. There were many food and drink options. Being a kiwi, I wanted to introduce my friends to a classic kiwi "Sunday roast." The food arrived pretty promptly. The...portion size was super generous. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Food is great.

Food is wonderful. Many courses are recommended, one of the best for Steak in town. Fresh Oysters are also great. Atmosphere is well done with interior design.

Absolutely delicious

Husband and I are kiwis in Bangkok for a week on holiday. I felt like something familiar for a change so wanted to check out Kai. Surroundings and atmosphere are awesome. Almost felt like we were back in NZ when we walked in due to...the various kiwi memorabilia and decore. We both had fish and chips for mains which were cooked to perfection with a tasty homemade tartare on the side. Desserts vanilla tarts and white chocolate and orange pudding both light and delicious. I also recommend the Kai wine punch (green apple). Portion sizings are generous and definitely value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive. Wish we had this restaurant back in NZ :) My only regret is leaving Bangkok before being able to try the Sunday roastMore

Disappointing

Awful service and average food for an expensive price. Ostensibly the place looks nice but the food was undercooked and tge staff seemed like robots. Will not go back.More

Very sorry to hear you had a bad experience with us. Undercooked food is a bit vague, however our staff & kitchen will always cook it more or prepare a new dish at the customer's request. As for service we are normally very good, although...More

Always a good choice to meet with friends

Kai nails it every time. Decent drinks, great food, good service, and very reasonable prices - it is consistent and always a solid choice for drinks or dinner. Also love their outdoor terrace! Have to do the fish and chips - options on type of...fish, coating, chips and sauce!!More

My favorite for western food in Bangkok

One of my favorite places for western food in Bangkok. Great fish, meats, desserts, drinks. Always friendly service. Not sure where to start on recommendations... Lamb rack, fish and chips, fish can also be ordered pan-fried with various sides, lemon sole, Sunday roast lunch is...great, risotto is yummy, Kiwi pavlova is a must for dessert, New Zealander cocktail if you need a super serious drink, staff wine recommendations are usually spot on if you tell them what you like.More

Fresh from NZ

Nice and relaxing chill place for dinning and else. The best fish & chip I had so far. And love Sunday roasted also. If you love NZ food and wine, don’t missed this place.

<Englis is below> Sathonエリア、St-Rouis駅から歩いて5分くらいの所にあるグリルレストランで、ニュージーランド産の肉や魚を売りにしています。お肉はグリル、お魚は燻製やフィッシュ＆チップスを推しています。今回は妻の誕生日を祝いにワインを飲もうと伺いました。特性シーザーサラダやフィッシュ＆チップス、燻製シーフードの盛り合わせ、カニのタルタルなどをワインと合わせて最高の夜を過ごせました。料理はかなり手が込んでいて、盛り付けもきれいになされています。店内の雰囲気も明るく開放的で、店員さんたちの楽しんでる感じでよいです。ラストはデザートプレートにお祝いの言葉も付けてくれて祝ってくれました。ホスピタリティも高くていいお店でした！！ Located in the Sathon area, about a 5-minute walk from St-Rouis station, this grill restaurant is fmous for New Zealand meat and fish. They promote grilled meat and smoked or fish & chips for fish. This time we visited...to celebrate my wife's birthday with a glass of wine. Great place to visit

The lamb shank was amazing. Very very soft and great taste. The salmon tartare is very fresh tasty. Beef tenderloin perfectly cooked and soft. Good service

Tasty Food, bustling atomosphere, service a bit impersonal.

I had the Sunday Roast lamb which was fine without being spectacular. My son had the pie of the day which he greatly enjoyed. The drinks list was good. I had a bottle of NZ Pinot Noir which was fine. My wife had cocktails. A...fun afternoon but the expererience just lacked that little personal touch which would have made the visit perfect.More
