I was taken to this restaurant by Thai friends. I love Thai food and this simply was one of the best meals that I have had in the country.

I return to Bangkok withe the ideia of resisting this restaurant that 5 years ago pass me a good impression. It is in Sim Road in a nice surrounding. Pure deception. I wait 1:5 hours to be served, one dish and half an hour a...second one and so on. The quality was mediocre, the staff nervous and running from the alert of the guests. Without wine or beer I paid 2500 baths (around 70 euros) for an entré and two dishes accompanied with rice. The excuse for the poor service I alerted was that they were short of staff. It this is so they should close doors. I would never return and advise my friends to avoid it.More

This is always our ‘go to’ Thai restaurant. Beautiful and peaceful setting with consistently good food. We had the grilled chicken, beef massaman, tom yum, fried fish cake and ‘wing’ bean salad. All of them were very delicious. The standard of food in many restaurants...has dropped but Taling Pling is able to still maintain their very high standard. We will always keep coming back for more as all their dishes are very well prepared.More

What an experience ! Starting with the "oh wow" moment when you enter the restaurant - a sense of well being swathes over you as you take in the spacious and superbly appointed interiors, the beautiful garden and the tall glass facade that brings in...the afternoon light - making this a MUST DO for lunch !! Tall ceilings, multi colored chairs, colorful lamps, a cafe style area and private dining rooms upstairs. This place has it all. Now to the food. Starting with a menu that leaves your imagination and appetite buzzing. Beautifully crafted inspired by the founding father of the family running the restaurant - who was a renowned journalist and cartoonist. Veg spring rolls, red curry, chicken fried rice and soft shell crab - all top notch ! Service was simply fantastic - attentive and pleasant and enhanced the experience. Don't miss this one !More

This restaurant has probably one of the best Thai foods in the area. The shop itself is very clean and has a cozy ambience. But one thing that ruined my experience is their very rude store manager (her name is JINTANA). She is just so...rude when I just asked her if can I split the bill with my friends. She came back with an aggressive tone and told her off about that, but she clearly does not possess any customer service skills – must be beyond zero. The restaurant at that time was literally empty. It was only us who were there, so I don’t know what stresses her. Such a shame that I really really loved the foods there as I’ve been there plenty of times. Jintana is such a disgrace to that restaurant.More

The decor and ambience of this classic Thai restaurant are very nice . The food is ok but rather bland . My partner and I went there for a Valentine's Day dinner recently . This was my first visit . The waiting staff were helpful,...the wine list was ok but the food was a bit disappointing . Not too bad though - so we may give it another try .More

One look at the place (huge bungalow with really exquisite decor) and I would think the prices are going to be expensive. I cautiously sat down with my bunch of friends and immediately requested to see the menu. And to our pleasant surprise, they prices...are really affordable. Each dish comes up to 200 baht and I remember going ooh-ing and aah-ing after my first bite into every dish. I would definitely head back! Highly recommended!More

Good atmosphere, nice ambiance but lack of service , Tom yam kung was bland but other was good , pricy for Thai food

Went with a party of 2. The restaurant was not that crowded, and after waiting around looking to speak to someone so we could get a table, we were noticed after 15 minutes. We were seated immediately, but waited another 20 minutes for a server...to notice us. Constantly asking if we could order, each server said "Someone will come to you shortly." When our server did come to get our order, he told us that chicken wasn't available (which was majority of the menu), but I saw that another family near us was eating chicken pandan. We ordered our drinks, an appetizer, and 2 entrees. After ordering, we waited another 20 minutes and no one had brought us our drinks. I had seen other families that were seated after us already eating. I asked a server where our water was, and he told me that I had to wait. Our appetizer and 1 entree came before our drinks which was when I asked where our waters were. The food was very dry and bland. They brought the waters, and after we had finished all the food, we sat waiting for the second entree. The second entree never came out and we asked for the check to see that they never put down our second entree. Definitely do not recommend.More

Wait staff absent. Finally noticed after 15 minutes, but still didnt have any silverware or asked beverage. Ordered 3 items, only 2 came out. Had to bother 3 waiters for water after further waiting. Food was good, but flavors trumped by the overwhelming feeling we...were being welcomed into their wallpaper. Would not recommend.More
