We love Renee's! We got here and met with a kind guy from the Netherlands. Great food, great service. Even got a fantastic tour idea. Take a boat up to an island Ko Kret. We have to change two boats, but it's more fun, than to grab a taxi.

I had the beef lasagna. It was excellent. My gf had the Thai veg salad. She liked it but said it was a bit too spicy. We also had some fantastic shrimp spring rolls. Best food on Kao San. Met the owner too and he's a nice guy.

Ranee's is a hidden gem which is located just off of Khao San Road. The food served here is superb. We have eaten here twice in the last week as it has to be the best restaurant around. I would really recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area who enjoys good food!!

I was in the mood for pasta. My wife wanted Thai red curry. Boom. Both of us were happy! Couldn't have asked for more. My pasta was homemade and perfectly cooked. I went for the blue cheese sauce this time. My wife said her curry was delicious as well. We started with some fantastic little garlic cheese bread. They had... More

Great pizza, amazing place, good if you are tired of thai food. Although hard to find: the restaurant is located in an alley paralell to Khao San road, which entrance is at Chakrabongse rd.

I have been going to this restaurant for years. This is absolutely the best pasta in Bangkok. Highly recommended. Order the pasta and send your taste buds and mouth to pasta heaven.

Bring a map so you don't walk past Trok Mayom passageway that leads to Ranee's. We chose a table in the restaurant's pleasant garden and really enjoyed the pizza. Our pie was served right away but we had to wait far too long for the check.

We came here for dinner. It was quite quiet but had a nice atmosphere. It's hidden in an alley so you would have to know it existed as opposed to just stumbling by it. Some of the other diners appeared to be regulars. Service was quick. I was in the mood for pizza so ordered a Margherita. It looked big... More

It is a really cosy an quiet place, very good if you want to get out of the crazy overcrowded kaoh san. It is a bit hard to find as it is in a very narrow street where you wouldn't go into unless you are looking for the Ranne's restaurant. The food is very tasty but they lack of a... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
