I ordered dinner via foodpanda delivery just wanting to have a stomach filler while I binge watch Netflix Sunday night, I wanted something easy to eat so I had a beef banh mi (Bo luc lac), fresh summer rolls and a flan. When food arrived,...the banh mi is for self assembly, baguette with tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber neatly placed beside a covered container of the sandwich meat complement. Upon opening the lid, the experience began, the delicious aroma of the sirloin intermingling with the sweet caramelized onions was just perfect. And the taste! I decided I to eat it ala French beef dip, savouring the combined beef and onion in jus in chunky morsels as I bite on the baguette. I even spooned the spicy pepper vinegar provided, directly like a soup (!) The summer rolls were the freshening counterfoil, and i had to stop my Netflix binge watch, to really enjoy. The peanut sauce, delivered just the right sweetness balancing the heat from the sriracha paste and the crunch also enhanced the contrast against the softened rice paper wrap and the crisp greens. Ive had some not-so-good experiences with a few Vietnamese restaurants, so i tried to order 'safe'. But now, I want to try the rest of the menu but I will not order for delivery. I will instead visit in person.More

I think this is the first review of an restaurant where I have only experienced food on a take away basis. I was in Bangkok for five days in October and craving Vietnamese food and too tired to go out after such long flights and...non stop work before I left, we ordered Grab Food take away delivery. Well for a 50 baht delivery fee, the food was soon at our door at the Hotel Sofitel where we were staying. And the packing and the containers and the little packets of sauces and spices was outstanding. But the best to come was the quality of the food. We had spring rolls, pho, bun and a pancake and all outstanding. In fact I think we got delivery two more times. A bit crazy I know but the food was so good and so easy to eat in the convenience of your hotel room. I am heading back again to Bangkok in March and I for sure will actually go to the restaurant to try in place the wonderful food. Not saying I do not love Thai food, but have much more of a background in Vietnamese food here in Minnesota. Always a welcome change of pace. And have spent time in Vietnam so know the quality of the food was good at Vietnamese and More. Jim at Maplelag in MinnesotaMore

Have just spent the last 6 weeks thru central Vietnam up to Hanoi staying mostly in homestay. Most are like small boutique hotels in Vietnam. I didn't go further south than Dalat(central highlands) & Nha Trang on the coast. Here are some pros & cons...I think worth noting. Start with the good. Pros: It has a beautifully diverse countryside & fantastic beaches. The people are friendly, prices very friendly & even taxi's are straight(there's always exceptions). The mountains & rivers around Ninh Binh & world heritage caves around Phong Nha northwards truly inspire awe of nature. If beach is your thing they are all good but Danang & even NhaTrang are xlnt. Wide powder sand and warm water and cheap beach chairs with your personal wait staff. Hawkers are minimal but there are some. Cons: Communication & the language barrier is challenging even in tourist areas. Signage is mostly in Vietnamese only. Patience is required. They still some ways to go before they get a handle on how to treat/wait on tourists. Not a lot of service but positive responses when asked. Generally I found the food bland including local food. I ate both versions (local & western). Money exchange & ATM's were readily available is city areas with choice ATM's. More limited away from city areas. Home country cards generally accepted with fees(some exceptions). ATM's advise before a transaction. My favs Dalat in central highlands. Mid size mountain town with no straight streets built around a lake & into the mountain. Daytime summer temp 24°C. If you like Mountain countryside, waterfalls & slow pace. Could live here. Ninh Binh scenery of mountains & rivers is stunning. Could live here as well but not in summer. Phong nha world heritage caves has to be scene & experienced. They are spectacular. Ba Na hills cable car, golden hand bridge & replica mountain top french village is also well worth the visit Summary: Overwhelming positive feeling toward Vietnam. I will definitely be back Hawkers Language/patience Food Fav places/things Money ATM Accom PaMore

This place has a nice setting. No loud music. We came here on a Sunday night at 6:30. Comfortable chairs, open floor plan, pictures on the menu, and good service. Free parking up to 4 hours free at ROMPO Mansion next door to the restaurant....We had pho beef noddle soup, pork wrap roll, and a Vietnamese pancake. The bill included a 7 percent service charge which was not stated on the menu.More

My wife and I have visited this restaurant numerous times but not since we became vegetarians almost 3 years ago. The husband and wife owners used to be located in a quaint residential spot and we both fell in love with the hospitality and authenticity...of the food. Being further away, we find it harder to get to, so when we had another errand to run in the area of their new location, we jumped at the chance to have dinner. The menu, as one would expect for Vietnamese food, is predominantly meat based (pork, beef, and chicken), however, when we asked for a vegetarian Banh-Mi sandwich the server quickly accommodated our request. In the end we enjoyed a complete vegetarian meal with the sandwich, fresh spring rolls, and pho. An added bonus was the affordability of the meal. The location is a little difficult to get to, but worth the search if you are looking for a good pho, banh-mi, or roll. Enjoy.More

This is a great place with GREAT food. We order a fresh Rolls with shrimp, And It comes with a delicious sauce. We Also ordered pork chop And It was the best pork I've ever had. Besides the people there were SO great. My friend...forgot her purse and we send a bike to get it, they were so kind they put It in a discrete bag.More

Vietnamese and More - I would take the More as more in Thai taste. This is not a complaint but from the dishes we tried in our several visits, it reminded me of American Chinese food. In comparison to some of the other authentic Vietnamese...restaurant as the Le Dalat, the presentation and the taste is different. However the customers seemed to enjoy this type of cooking since the place was very busy specially on weekend. Who am I to say which cooking is better?More

I have never visited the restaurant for a sit in meal but have ordered for delivery via foodpanda on around 5 occasions and have never been disappointment. The vermicelli noodles with lemongrass pork is phenomenal, so fresh tasting. The Bahn Mi's are good although quite...small in size. The Pho is very authentic tasting. This place will remain a regular for me and is as tasty and authentic as any of the food I had when I was in Vietnam on holiday.More

Highly recommended that everyone tries the sandwiches and stew. Best of the best!! We’re looking for a chance to come...back for as as we live quite far from town. But if you’re near, you’re lucky!! Must try!!More

Our daughter was craving Pho and she is quite the picky eater. We found this place on TripAdvisor and gave it a shot. We were not disappointed. The owner came to chat with us and verify the accuracy of our order. I mentioned I was...vegan to ensure my pho didn't come into contact with any meat products. My husband ordered a shrimp appetizer. It looked tasty so I proceeded to order a veggie version. Before I could complete that request, the owner walked over with a tofu version of the order. He said "I made this for you so you wouldn't have to watch them eat that and not have anything for yourself." WOW is all I can say. He anticipated my needs and prepared a delicious treat for me. Our main course was outstanding as well. The restaurant itself and the bathrooms were immaculate. We were thoroughly impressed with this place, the food and the service. We definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Bangkok and we hope to come back soon.More

We were craving noodles of some sort and already had ramen two days in a row. We were a bit hesitant only bc back in the states Pho is SO common. At first we were like why go to a place we have at home?...I’m glad we did because this place did not disappoint, not to mention we made it after the crowds! Chill atmosphere. The food was great and made it to our table in a timely manner. If you’re in Bangkok and want some Vietnamese, definitely give them a try!More
