There are 2 Katsushin Restaurants. One on soi Tarntawan, the soi right opposite Tawana Hotel, and a second one just down the street in ITF Tower. It opens earlier, is way less crowded with the same menu. They have the best Tonkatsu in Bangkok, tender...pork and chicken with a light Japanese bread crumb. There are many combinations and also you can order different size portions. They serve beer, wine and saki along with soft drinks. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food received. Service is average Thai style. There are 3 steps up after entering the front door, so wheelchair difficulties.More

There are many Japanese restaurant in Bangkok. Katsushin brings Japan to Bangkok!! Best Katsu in Bangkok. The atmosphere reminds me of Katsu places in Tokyo. Prices are very reasonable. Services are quick and friendly. Highly recommended. Friendly reminder. Wait time during weekday lunch might be...long. Better go early on weekdays or weekends. Enjoy!!More

We went to this place for dinner a few nights ago, and it was an amazing experience. We have been traveling in Thailand for the last 45 days or so, and when we walked into this restaurant, we felt like we were in Japan. The...food was awesome. The pork curry with fried pork cutlet was excellent. The waitress kept bringing more food, like a cabbage salad, a mini seaweed salad, etc. We didn't know what was going on, but that's kind of fun sometimes. We also got a small bottle of sake to share, the mid-range 300 baht version, and it was also excellent. There was also a line of people waiting to get in, demonstrating its popularity. We are so glad we went here, it really turned out to be a fun and tasty restaurant. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.More

Katsushin produces, by far, one of the best katsu in Thailand. Nice and crisp with thin layer of batter. Not oily. Just simply delicious of comfort Japanese food. Had miso katsu which was excellent too. Only down point would be the ambient in which I...can feel and smell food odour around the place. Perhaps better vacuum would be perfect.More

Food is very good! But the pregnant manager who told that she is Owner is very rude to us! Yelling at us and said we are NOT NORMAL! Still she came to us asking again one more time what is wrong with us! This place...is the Worst in Bangkok! Most of Japanese restaurant cares so much about service and how they treat people but this one.. WORST!More

Located near the entrance of Soi Tantawan which is connected to Soi Silom 6, this restaurant is a small and really busy but the food is packed full of flavour and one dish... or the entire set which includes rice, miso soup, and salad, will...satisfy your stomach to the fullest! The service is fast and the price is reasonable! But, of course, the best part of the food here, has to be the fried goods. Hot and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside! You should check it out sometime!More

We ate at the Katsushin restaurant that is located near ITF Tower off Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Soi 1. The menu has many versions of katsu items along with other seafood katsu items. There are side dishes to complement the main meal. Despite being deep-fried, the katsu...items were not oily and that was good. The tonkatsu were tender and went well with the prawn katsu, salmon katsu, potato katsu and shredded raw cabbage. Nice combination. The highlight, however, was the tonkatsu. We wanted to end our dinner with matcha ice cream but our dinner was heavy. Another time. When we left, we did not reek of oily smell that is so typical of katsu restaurants.More

Small room with a very busy atmosphere. The place fills up very quickly for lunch. Food is excellent (limited menu), the prices are decent and service is swift. A great lunch place in a neighborhood packed with tourist traps.

Coming on a weekday evening, we were served as quickly as walking in. We tried something new so our choices are the set of pork with shiso leaf and tge set of pork with cheese&avocado. The sets are included a bowl of rice, miso soup...and some salad. They were awesome, the outside texture was crispy but tender inside. They weren't oily. For the drinks, we had both of cold and hot green tea which are able to refill. The price was also reasonable. Strongly recommend this place for a fine fried japanese cuisine.More
