Mazzaro is a terrific "hidden gem" on Charoen Krung 42/1 Alley near the Shangri La Hotel in Bangkok. The environment is hip yet comfortable, clean and somewhat upscale. We ate at the bar and the bartender mixed us some great cocktails, provided great service and...generally ensured that we had a great experience. The menu is varied, but we focused on the Thai staples ... the green curry and the pad see ew were both excellent! Considering the quality of the food, service and atmosphere, we felt that Mazzaro was a great value ... providing a welcome middle-ground between the street food joints and the expensive hotel restaurants in the area. We enjoyed Mazzaro so much that we ate there twice during our week long stay in Bangkok.More

The thai dishes served here are absolutely delicious, more elaborate than the typical food you can find everywhere but it's worth paying a little bit more to taste Mazzaro's cuisine. It's very tasty, full of vegetables, good quality seafood and mind-blowing sauces. The restaurant itself...is really nice and intimate and service was perfect. Restaurants in Thailand are having a hard time at the moment after the whole covid crisis and this one really deserves support and lots of customers!More

Across the river from the Peninsula Hotel. Fun decorations, above average wine, good food and service. Restaurant has something for everyone from Thai to European.

Fantastic - best steak this side of Omaha - perhaps even better. Normally I write reviews being critical of some aspect of the restaurant. For Mazzarro's - everything was beyond 5 stars. In a city with countless options - I can't wait to go there...again.More

The food was great, service excellent. While not the cheapest it's still reasonable. The sweet and sour chicken and the Pad Thai were standouts. The menu is varied and both the Western and Thai selections are extensive. We enjoyed it so much we went back...twiceMore

If you consider yourself a Thai food lover and a passionate foodie, this place is not to be missed. The guys here have done a great job in every section, from the delicious food and deco to little details like the stunning menu which features...nice food photography of all their dishes. Something you usually don't get to see in the dull menu restaurants of the western world. The whole atmosphere suggests a good meal and a pleasant night out. With a great variety of nearly all Thai staples upscaled to the next level, the choice is endless and is hard to select amongst hearty soups and curries, noodles or aromatic rice dishes all aesthetically presented on the plate. There are also some Italian classics in case you missed home ;-). We went classic Thai: Green & Red curries, noodles with crab and a divine fried pineapple rice served in an empty pineapple plus some amazing starters (like the chicken satay which was delightful) just to see how much better Thai food can go (and it went!). The venue itself is a winner too, combining warm wood details, marble and leather furniture it makes you feel like you dine in a luxury but rather comfortable boutique environment. 5 star food, 5 star service but expect a little bit higher prices than the average Thai restaurant in Bangkok. We went twice to this restaurant without reservation and they fitted us in both occasions, but I'd recommend you better make a booking if you are travelling from other part of the city. It's also baby friendly, they do have a high chair and some plastic cutlery and also have easy going dishes like pasta and baked potato skins if your toddler is having a thing with lemongrass and ginger :-D. Did I mention there is a very nice temple next to the restaurant? Arrive some minutes earlier and explore the Wat Suan Phlu temple to get into the groove.More

We stumbled across this place and were really glad we did as it was one of our favouite meals in Bangkok. Lots to traditional thai dishes to choose from. The food quality was excellent and really flavourful and unexpectedly good/cheap considering it was in a...busy/touristy area. The service and ambience were also perfect.More

We stayed at the Shangri La Hotel around the corner from Mazarin and fell in love with this restaurant. Great food, great cocktails, friendly staff, reasonable prices and a cozy environment.

A short stroll from the Shangri-La hotel we enjoyed a lovely dinner here the other night. A choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Easy to navigate menu decorated with photos just in case of language difficulty - although staff spoke excellent English. The deep fried...sweet and sour whole fish was lovely and served filleted off the bone. We also enjoyed their soft shell crab. A modern setting, clean, soft industrial. We will definitely return.More

Nice place with really good food. Great menu with too many good choices.... A little bit industrial interior, nicely done. Very friendly and attentive staff. Busy crowd. But such a pity, loud music, really annoying.
