My visits to The Latest Recipe have mostly been for breakfast as well as the creative hour during my stays with Le Méridien Bangkok. The exceptional diversity as well as quality of the F&B options on offer are known to many, so I am not...going to repeat right here. Nonetheless, I decided to single out The Latest Recipe for a separate review on top of the general one on the hotel is because of the love, care and happiness that I received from everybody in the chef and servicing teams. They pride themselves on being wholeheartedly dedicated to delivering world-class services complemented by the warmth of authentic Thai hospitality. Leveraging on the joint expertise of both the frontline and chef teams, I know Khun O (F&B Director) has been working closely with Chef Marco (Executive Chef) on menu and theme updates with a view to bringing onto the table the best, the finest, and the most rewarding dining experience for all. From ingredient sourcing and vendor selection all the way through till food presentation and ultimate serving on the table, the team strives for excellence to a level that is second to none. As a regular guest of Le Méridien Bangkok, I have always been amazed by how devoted and passionate the teams are about commitment to service excellence. Whenever I return to the restaurant and see all familiar faces again, I immediately feel like coming back home having received all sorts of warmest welcome with great smiles and delights. I managed to recall the lovely memories of my dining experience, howsoever subtle or trivial, simply because the team treats me with HEART. Just a few touching scenarios to highlight which I truly appreciate:- 1. knowing that I would prefer having a quiet and secluded dining environment, the teams would help reserve a table for me with an appropriate distancing from other guests; 2. knowing about virgin mojito as my favourite drink during the creative hours, the Tempo Bar team (Khun T, Khun Nancy or Khun Nook) would help prepare without me asking for it; 3. the teams would from time to time introduce to me for tasting various seasonal fresh fruits such as tasty coconuts from Nakhon Pathom, sweet-and-sour “Nam Dok Mai” mangos and juicy pomelos; 4. the teams would allow me to have bigger portions of some of my favourite dishes available at the creative-hour session such that I need not make multiple orders; 5. Chef team (such as Khun Tae and Khun Mae) takes note of my preferences on the ingredients and soup base for my noodles at breakfast and would help tailor make that for me etc. There have been countless moments and occasions which members of the chef and servicing team seek whatever ways possible to provide me with unique and fascinating culinary journeys at The Latest Recipe. Towards that end, I would like to say a wholehearted “Kob Khun Mak Mak” (thank you very much) to Khun O and his team of dedicated and professional associates including Khun Mild (F&B Manager), Khun Kwan (Assistant F&B Manager), Khun Ghai / Miw / Ae / Dada / T / Nancy / Tikky / Nook / Harry / Choti / Mick / Chok / Stephanie / Devina / Soma / Neung etc. as well as Chef Marco and his team of skilful chefs such as Khun Tae, Khun Mae and others for their top-notch hospitality, awe-inspiring services, avant-garde culinary ideas and, mostly importantly, mouth-watering dishes for guests to savour their taste buds with!More
