Good food, good service and lovely view! The entire experience was lovely. Especially the little bits of food between the courses was a nice touch

Went to this restaurant by accident five years ago and had one of our best meals of our 3 week trip. So happy to report that it was just as impressive this time around! Each dish was stunning, thoughtful and delicious, and the setting and...service are impeccable.More

Beautiful restaurant with fantastic views and very friendly staff. However the service let us down. We opted for the 4 course set menu which looked fantastic. An amuse buche was served and we anticipated a wonderful meal spread over the next hour or so. How...wrong we were! The courses came thick and fast with no time allowed to digest in-between. In fact we were still eating the starter when the Yom Tom soup arrived and we had not finished this when the main courses arrived on our table! Although the food was delicious, it could have been much spicier. My red duck curry was too mild and not hot like any red curry I've eaten before. By the time we finished our meal, we still had about half of our very expensive wine left, which, for us, is most unusual! Saffron really needs to get their act together, review their timings, and allow guests the time to enjoy their meals.More

My wife and I arrived at The Banyan Tree late evening and headed to Saffron for something to eat. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff wonderful. The amuse bouche (or Thai equivalent) were fabulous. After these, the dishes were generally disappointing. Everything was quite...bland even though we requested “Thai hot”. The food was also mainly tepid bordering on cold. The spicy chicken starter was tasteless and certainly not remotely spicy. Prices are what you would expect in a five star hotel. Beers are very expensive.More

We walked in just after 8PM for a dinner without a booking as we were staying in the hotel. We were told they only had outside tables available. Once we arrived at the outdoor dining area we were in awe of the wonderful outlook. Unfortunately,...all the tables although vacant were reserved, hence, we had to eat our dinner on lounge chairs & a low table. The service was prompt & efficient. We ordered their signature dishes the fried squid & the barbecued curry chicken. We also ordered a traditional green vegetable curry. The food was lovely. The ambiance with easy listening music playing just fantastic. Pricing is what you would expect in a hotel of this quality. The only we found questionable was during our 1.5 hour dinner all the vacant reserved tables remained that way. It would’ve been a bit more pleasant for us to eat at a proper dining table. That being said we really enjoyed our dinner here.More

This place is not so well known as the popular Moon bar of the Banyan tree hotel. However, it is worth visiting, either when the rooftop bar is overcrowded or closed, because of rainy weather. The view is almost the same, and the drinks are...perfect, the food is expensive but very good and the service is excellent. DEW to be mentioned by name!More

The Zafran eatery has amazing food! The people are very nice! I can recommend the vegetarien food platter!

This Banyan Trees Thai restaurant is certainly worth a visit. We had a beautiful dinner here with the history of each dish explained and the quality was outstanding. Service was impeccable and we couldn’t recommend a dinner here highly enough. A must try if at...the Banyan Tree.More

We are here as a family on our first night in Bangkok. The restaurant is quite quiet and low key but there is a really nice outside bar with fabulous views over the city (we didn’t eat outside but I think you can). We ordered...lots of dishes for our teenagers to sample and they were all delicious. We loved the crispy squid and chicken balls to start and our mains, beef, chicken and a couple of curries were really tasty. We loved the food at Saffon and highly recommend. Pretty good prices too (especially compared to Vertigo). Recommend having a drink on the 59th floor at Vertigo/Moon bar as the sun goes down and then head down for dinner.More

We ate here as we stayed overnight as part of a spacation package. The food was decent, got complimentary kao tung rice cracker appetizers. The pad thai shrimp was quite tasty snd crispy squid was good, price to be expected for the average 5 star...hotel standards but drinks were way overpriced! A bottle of still water cost 190 bht while a can of ginger ale cost 120 bht! The view from the garden was nice though, the Bangkok skyline from 52nd floor though a bit windy.More

We enjoyed the food we were served but disappointed with the way we were served and the skill and caring of the staff did not match the quality of food. They took forever to get us a drink then again forever to take our food...order. The menu was on our phone ( so seeing all the options at once is impossible). Once ordered they bought out the first part of our entree then ages latter the second part and low and behold out came our main before we’d finished our entree. We were happily eating our mains when we were nearly finished oops out came the rice but alas too late to be of any benefit to us . Ejnjoyed the food and flavours but boy the service needs a lift. By the way the left over croissant with the roti was a bit muchMore
