Got a regular margarita and a gogonzola based pie. Similar to Neapolitan with a light crust, smaller size and charcoal grill. Could have used a another quick minute in the oven as it was a little floppy but still delicious. Worried that the gorgonzola would...have been too heavy but it had just the right level of it so it wasn't overpowering each bite. Definitely could eat a full pie yourself if you're hungry, I'd say just a little bit bigger than a personal pie. Not a bad way to end the day touring around Bangkok!More

You know you are in for a treat when the Chef Patron cleans as much time front of house as he does in the kitchen. Fantastic food and service, especially good is the pasta and pizza… a real gem!

This restaurant has relatively recently changed its management, & whilst the food is still excellent & of top quality, the atmosphere (ambiance) has suffered as the staff now tend to hover over the patrons. Plus there appears to have been some external renovations (change of...color scheme) which to my eye is quite lurid & in my opinion will actually turn possible patrons away. It is such a shame as it is in my humble opinion one of the best Italian cuisine restaurants anywhere in the world & almost certainly the best in Thailand. One quick tip for any prospective patrons: dinner reservations are almost essential if you want to eat at what is regarded as "normal" hoursMore

Without doubt the best and most authentic Italian in Bangkok, everything is excellent every time we visit - which is often! The food is delicious, the wine list is extensive, the staff are friendly and efficient. The chef patron is friendly and charming. If you...are after the best Italian in Bangkok come to Il Bolognese - and don’t leave without trying the desserts! Mamma Mia!!More

Family meal at this very nice Italian restaurant nicely presented and pleasant decor. Food was good and staff very attentive. Excellent pizzas - we brought our own wine and paid corkage - however the wine list was excellent

I went to Il Bolegnese again on 18th march. The food is still excellent & although the service is good it can be a little overwhelming because as a previous reviewer stated since the new management the staff do tend to "hover" & it makes...for a slightly unsettling feeling that they want to maximise the people turnover. My suggestion to the new management would be to talk to the staff about being a little more discreet. Given this limitation I would still recommend the restaurant as it has very good quality food & excellent cooking.More

The restaurant is under new management since our last visit in 2019. I ordered the Octopus Polipo Alla Griglia and a salad, they were good. For main courses I ordered ravioli, which was lukewarm, my wife ordered the tortellini which was rather hard. The Bolognese...sauce was not the best I tasted... The wine 'Harmonium' was excellent. It seems that the staff have been trained to leap at you the minute you finish a course. We were given a lemon sorbet between courses, and I didn't get to taste it before the next course was put in front of me and the sorbet swiftly removed. One waitress was literally two metres from our table watching me, waiting to pounce to fill up our glasses or whip away our plates, which was rather disconcerting. We felt rushed throughout and a huge pressure to buy the most expensive dishes and wines. I understand the concept of upselling but felt a little coerced. To be honest we were disappointed and probably won't return.More

II Bolognese is always my ‘go to’ Italian as the taste and quality of food is consistently good. The menu offers a wide variety of Italian dishes. I always find their pizza very good as the crust is tasty and soft. We sat outside and...it was very cosy and relaxing. The service was also very good too.More

Nice restaurant with outside seating. Very good Italian dishes. Like in a very good restaurant in Italy! Pizzas are very well made and the pasta also comes al dente ... Very friendly staff and a great boss, with whom you can chat in Italian -...surprisingly he is speaking fluently Thai ...! My absolute favorite when it comes to Italian cuisine in Bangkok - I'm looking forward to next time in November!More

I am a doctor from Bologna; when I read "Il Bolognese" I was very excited to try the Italian foods. I live in Bangkok since April 2021 and I miss very much food from my City. When I arrived at the Bolognese I order as...starter Gnocco fritto con salame e prosciutto (this is a traditional food of my City).I had to control my emotions: I enjoy such a simple and delicious dish, with a better taste than in many restaurants in my city. I live abroad since 30 yrs and I never found such delicious gnocco fritto in all Continents! Pasta al pesto, another typical Italian dish was sublime. They add the French beens and potato, the real receipt. Excellent. And I tried tortellini in brodo, another traditional plate of my City: same taste as in Italy. We live very closed to Il Bolognese restaurant and I told to the Chef Marco that I will go there very often. In few weeks Chef Marco informed me that he will get the White Truffle of Alba, a very famous speciality exported Worldwide. I know very well Alba close to the Castle of Roddi, owned by my family of the same name; there is the unique University for truffle hunting dogs in the World. Chef Marco promised me to call when the white truffle is coming. In conclusion, I recommend this restaurant to to all those who want to taste traditional Italian cuisine with Italian taste. Buon appetito and enjoy!More

Small little Italian restaurant in the prime sathorn area. Their pizza is good and the food quality is above average. Indoor seating is cozy but outside seating is terrible for the price you pay for food! Limited parking! The sad thing is the lady manager...is REALLY RUDE! Went there 2 times and she has no manners in speaking everytime. Rude on the phone, rude when arrive as her way of speaking is like she doesnt care or she has not learned how to service the customer. Really disappointing. During this covid time, they serve wine in the tea cup however, they dont allow you to bring your own wine! I think this is maybe completely weird since you cannot bring your own wine even if you are willing to pay for the corkage charge. Sad.More

Have been looking at all of the best pizza places in Bangkok and this is top notch. The service, atmosphere, all. The location is a little hard to find, but follwo the signs and the cars parked out front. The anchovy and burrata pizza together...with one of their Italian beers is heaven.More
