Back in Bangkok and back at the No Idea Gastropub in Sukhumvit Soi 22. It was a great wine and food experience last time I visited in April, and it was just a good now. Dishes were great and the wine selection is worth the...visit alone. It seems to always be full so I would recommend making a reservation if you do not come alone and can sit at the bar. The kiwi “owner” likes to talk to the customers (there are a lot of regulars), and he will have some great stories about the wines and the place itself. Highly recommend when taking a break from the Asian cuisine.More

No Idea ( Bar/restaurant) takes a lot of beating & we find ourselves frequenting this establishment often as the wine selection is superb & not overpriced PLUS, the food is absolutely incredible … a specials board, plus regular menu to choose from . Where can I start….fabulous food, service and ambience. We had 9 dishes between the 3 of us….and I wanted more….purely because I was being greedy. I had the scallops and lamb rack, husband had the mackerel bruschetta and bangers/mash, the teen had steak tartar and...burger….honestly not one bad calorie…(also had the chorizo to share and then the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate lava cake….)… Extensive wine list - carefully chosen and priced. After 3 years without a trip to Bangkok I returned this week excited to enjoy some meals at No Idea. I was not disappointed. I have eaten several meals at No Idea in the last week and all were excellent. The presentation of food is...top notch. Sea bass and goat cheese salad were particularly noteworthy.
