I visited regularly this place for several years. The pizza sold here is not the classic, round Neapolitan one, but an elongated one, sold by the slice ("al trancio"). The reason is (as the name of the restaurant suggests) that what is sold here is...the Roman version of the Neapolitan pizza which, in Italian, is called "Pinsa (romana)".
But don't let you be fooled by the format. The pizza (or pinsa) is just excellent, made with proper ingredients and tastes really good. The dough, the tomato paste, the cheeses and cold cuts used to prepare it, all are perfectly in line with the best Italian tradition, and this has been consistently true, since this business was established, approximately 10 years ago.
Pastas was a bit of a disappointment (I had the Amatriciana and, I admit, I am a bit spoiled when it comes to pastas). My friends, locals and expats, love the Tiramisu' (I am not fond of desserts).
Prices are very affordable, considering the quality of the food on offering and the good service. As a consequence, the place is usually packed with a happy, mix crowd of locals, expats and tourists: expect some waiting before a table becomes available.More
