Basilico has 2 locations in bangkok and the other restaurant is much better. It is expensive for the portions and the quality is mediocre. There is fierce competition among the Italian restayrants in Bangkok and Basilico has failed to keep up on service, quality and ambience. Most disappointing are the pizzas which are sparce on toppings and the crust is... More

Very pleasant, attentive staff who know their business. Good choice on the menu and, very tasty food. Fresh ingredients, skilled cooking, decent wine list. All in all - ideal. A little too bright and open if you are looking for romantic but, other than that - a really enjoyable night with fine dining.

Other half had been ill for a few days and when he finally wanted food but wasn't up for leaving the hotel this place was perfect. I went in and ordered a pizza and pasta to takeaway, food was prepared very quick, we were given pots of fresh Parmesan and dried bacon as accompaniments and sachets of ketchup, oregano and... More

I have been here now several times and always enjoy the experience, atmosphere and cuisine. Then there is the excellent and friendly service staff and very kind restaurant manager who knows all of his guests and is truly hands on. Location is convenient and food consistency and quality is very good. Will return

Basilico is still one of the best family place to enjoy Italian meal. Menu is not at large but choices are good from pizza to pasta to risotto and etc. Come single or double or in a group, one can still enjoy the meal in an ambience atmosphere.

I always enjoy the pizza at Basilicos. The service is impeccable. Great place as a solo traveler to people watch. Try the na-manow (lime juice). It is very refreshing.

The food was exellent and the service was extremely quick. There was a table with 10 people; however, they served the food in 5 minutes. Average price.

Excellent Vegetarian pizza - full of fresh toppings and nice sauce and mozzarella. Had a lot of pizza in Bangkok and this was some of the more immersive. Will return.

I have been a regular customer here for years and never get tired of it. Food quality is consistently high. Service is good, pleasant atmosphere and I find the prices reasonable for the product offered. I'm not much of a pasta eater so I usually go with a salad and either pizza or the Balsamic Seabass - never been disappointed... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
