Decided to go here for our last meal in Bangkok before flying home. We sat in a beautiful colonial house. Service was faultless and the food, which was also excellent, came quickly. Staff very helpful in directing us to our next destination.

The Place is a few meters in a Side street and hard to find, but within walking from Surasak Station. You can sit inside with air condition or on the outside. The decor is very nice, with pieces that make you feel like your in a little barn from a long forgotten time. The menu is classical Thai and the... More

I thing it is one of my favorite restaurants in which I had a dinner in Bangkok. Prices are in the average Thai standards. Location very comfortable

We were a party of 8 and all had different things from the menu. All meals were good Thai food. Choice of wines limited but ok. Service was very good. We sat inside in what looked like a quaint colonial house. There was also outside seating.

Nice ambiance, plenty of fans and incense to keep the bugs away for the outdoor seating. Food was traditional but very good. We had the Papaya Salad, Red curry duck, and beef pad thai. Those dishes plus two beers, water, and rice came out to B975. Ingredients were fresh, and service was standard. Easy to find off of the Surasak... More

Some dishes are spectacular. We ordered the following dishes: 1. Morning glory in oyster sauce 2. Beef flat noodle 3. Seafood green curry 4. Shrimp patty. Our favorite was the green curry. It was so savory and flavorful. I even drank it like a soup and put it on the other dishes to enhance their flavor. The other dishes were... More

We loved our evening at Ban Chiang. The setting of an old Thai home is so cute. The service was impeccable. We enjoyed a delicious bottle of Rose. The food was perfectly done. Its traditional Thai food at its best. We would recommend taking an Uber to the restaurant. We made the mistake of walking at night, and the neighborhood... More

After slogging through countless food stalls, sampling wonderful and exotic things off the street as well as sweating for a few hours the night before we decided that tonight was to be a quiet dinner. And what better place could we have selected than Ban Chiang. The restaurant is a traditional house with tables in a number of rooms as... More

There are restaurants with delicious food at a high cost, there are restaurants charge rather inexpensively but food could make you feel sorry for yourself, and of course there are restaurants change a lot, and food is forgettable - Baan Chiang is far from those. Bann Chiang is situated in a quiet corner of a rather busy district, and you... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
