Having read a lot about this place and being in several lists of best restaurants in Asia I was expecting a great experience. The result was however average if you compare the price you pay. Service was ok but not great. The waiters usually explained in 2 languages, English for me and Thai to my friend. Food was nice but... More

The best Thai food I've ever had for sure... Would have been nice to be able to try a few more dishes, but I wasn't since I was on my own. I did have the Pork and lobster with Shredded ginger and Thai saffron as a starter and the coconut and turmeric curry of blue swimmer crab with banana blossoms... More

We had dinner here since the restaurant was in our hotel (Metropolitan Como) Hotel, which is also excellent by the way. The service was more than excellent, dish explanation is great. Menu is modern Thai, and the creations and flavors are really superb. Beware if you don't tolerate spicey food, because if it states that the dish is spicey, it... More

Had such a wonderful dinner here. Great service and lovely ambiance. Grab a taxi here and make early reservations! Price wise was a little pricey but definitely worth a try! We chose 4 dishes (for 2 person). - egg nets with prawns wild almonds and kaffir lime (very spicy but endurable) - hot and sour soup of chicken, prawns and... More

We had the tasting menu which was a good overview of Thai Cuisine. Curries were excellent and well balanced, and the appetisers were very refined. Service is quite good, and our server was very attentive. A nice night out and while it does have good food I understand why it has lost a few places in the Asia50 best list.

Nahm Restaurant, in Sathorn, the restaurant at Metropolitan Hotel in Bangkok, is just fantastic. We've had wonderful meal, a dinner set menu in which we could try all courses of that wonderful food. Dinner set is supposed to be shared by the family, typical Thai tradition, and we were supposed to do the same. However, I'm allergic to seafood, and... More

We were on holiday in Bangkok and wanted to try the best restaurant in town, but I wish we hadn't bothered. The food is over-rated and overpriced. I like spice but all the flavours were too much and we left feeling quite ill (I nearly vomited in the bathroom on the way out). We spent as much on lunch at... More

Looking at the high rating, we visited with high expectations. Good service, but the ambiance was poor (voice echo, and mediocre interior) and food that was far from okay. It looked good, but that was about it. Many amazing places in Bangkok, i have no idea why people like this place.

...and I desperately wanted to love it. I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine and particularly Vietnamese, Thai, and Indian food. It saddens me to write that I've had tastier and more complexly flavorful Thai food on the street for pennies---and definitely better in any of a number of restaurants in Bangkok and Phuket. The price Nahm charges simply... More

They don't really have a tasting menu. The set menu allows you to pick 1 dish from each section of the al carte - more flexible but is weird for a top restaurant (I won't look too much into this as long as the food is good) The food does not come dish by dish, but in 2 batches -... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
