Very kind staff and an incredible variety of food. Everything delicious and good. A perfect place where you can eat everything you want. It's not a quiet location, but the food is amazing

The Rain Tree Cafe has been the beneficiary of the transformation of the Plaza Athenee Bangkok which has taken place over recent years under the guidance of the hotel's able management team. The physical transformation in itself is significant; where there was once a consolidated buffet section they have spread the buffet through out the room. This achieves not only... More

Some buffets can be a bit hit or miss but this was really excellent. The variety of foods available was a surprise from Western Beef and Lamb to Indian and lots of local Thai dishes. Really good seafood the night I was there.

Having the Sunday Brunch in the Rain tree Cafe is a real enjoyment in Bangkok. The Brunch is value for money with a well spread of quality food and drinks. The ambien of the Cafe is excellence and service of the stuff is very good. I will like to compliment Miss Nattaya who serve us attentively and well.

I am following another reviewer who like me is trying out the Sunday lunch offerings at the 5* hotels in Bangkok. This is the best so far, by a long chalk. I don't know if I can justify trying somewhere else after the feast provided here. That's assuming you like lots of fresh shellfish, lobster, crab, abalone, oysters, prawns, all... More

Good selection of international food and nice service. The only thing I would change is to improve the bread selection a bit. The baguette was a bit dry and hard.

Food service and wish to please was as evident as on my first visit . Staff are kind and helpful and in the morning smiling to make the day brighter unlike my experience in the St Regis in Osaka where th supervisor was uncooperative and run this venue offered complete friendly empathetic will to please. Fruit cereals and coconuts were... More

I loved the cheese section they had during the brunch. It's not easy to find them in other places. Good service and good level of English of the staff.

Me and my wife are on a mission, we want to try all the best hotel buffets in Bangkok. We have been here a couple of weeks ago. Among the few buffet restaurant visited so far this is definitely the one that has the best costumer service. The waitresses were so very attentive, used plates would be taken away instantly... The Rain Tree Café has been reconceived in a modern interpretation of Thai neo-colonial interior décor + style. Three separate but complementary spaces evidencing extreme elegance and making excellent use of natural light are interwoven with threads of touching homeliness. These three unique areas are cleverly interwoven and are aptly named: The Bronze Kitchen upgraded with interactive live cooking stations, The Valaya Room with its formal library-style "VIP" space and The Secret Garden for more private affairs. Enjoy an inspiring voyage of discovery on our stunning international buffet that also features five specialty dishes of the day from our specialist head chefs. Service for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Sunday Brunch and Dessert Buffet.
