I’ve visited many of the internationally recognized, awarding winning restaurants that Bangkok boasts of, but Bo.lan is easily among the city’s finest spots to catch a meal. This past summer and early this fall I had the great privilege of visiting Bo.lan on two different occasions for lunch. Each time I ordered the tasting menu and each time I was... More

I visited this Restaurant regards the local recommendationlist together with some colleagues of mine. The concept of this restaurant is to offer a small Menu or bigger Menu. All ingredients are coming from Thai. The kitchen is pure Thaifood. All courses are small portions, but in the end it's a lot and we choosed the small Menu. The first course... More

Anyone who's been to Bangkok knows that sukhumvit is hell on earth (including the good bits of hell!), with end to end traffic and streets chocked full of salesman, stalls and all sorts of people. So imagine our lovely surprise to find a little, country style retreat in a cottage style restaurant in secluded grounds just off the street. There's... More

Ugh.. everyone on tripadvisor is suddenly a professional food critic.... The food is delicious, the drinks are nice, the service is impeccable, the decor is trendy and the prices aren't outrageous.

This was our third visit to this celebrated restaurant in three years - this time round, we came away slightly disappointed. It is still a good Thai restaurant that had a top notch service, decent food, and the wonderful atmosphere but the taste is somewhat lacking. We also felt its a little gimmicky at times - just stick to your... More

The service was average and the food nothing to write home about. Overall a very disappointing dinner. The ambience of the dining room is not bad. The restaurant itself is in an old beautiful Thai house. The garden is front is rather charming. The price we made for the meal was very high and not worth the experience or the... More

It started with a self indulgent walk through the kitchen to watch the chefs serve rice with spice, WOW! We should have cut our losses here, sadly we did not. We then proceeded to eat extremely over priced and underwhelming food.

Really enjoyed our meal here, we came as a group of 5 people. The staff are extremely good and the food is excellent. Tasting menu only, you can choose Big or Small (go big.....). Food is Isaan style and they will invite all parties to enter the kitchen for the first starter. Would definitely come back.

The service was very good. We ordered a set menu and there were some gimmicky items with a twist on Thai cuisine. Overall, it was an interesting experience, but in terms of food, I think it was a bit overrated compared to the reviews.

Neighborhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either.
