Eat for ambience only. Food on the expensive side. Dramatic presentation but food nothing to rave about. Better and cheaper can be found in hawker fare😈😧

We had a very good time at Bo.Lan, which we tried despite some of the more critical reviews. We had the smaller of the set menus, mine with the wine pairing, my husband's with the beer pairing. The selection of drinks was very good. The food courses were excellent and tasty. Good variety and plenty of it. The wait staff,... More

I took my boss here while on business during week of Sep 7, 2015. I had big hopes for historically accurate Thai food. The waitress either had a speach problem or new work done on teeth/mouth as her english was unrecognizable. I really should have asked for someone else as explanation of the dishes and "proper method" to eat them... More

We went there with family (6 persons) and the price was rip off for the quality of food. Nice decoration of the welcome room. Not so 'traditional' Thai food as they said. I suggest you with that price, you can go to 5stars restaurant for better food.

The idea of Bo.Lan is supposed to honour the tradition of Thai food in a new, experimental and somewhat gastronomical manner. The food served is definitely that. It's quite obvious that the two head chefs studied the cuisine very closely. However, the quality seems to be lacking. The servers were somewhat energetic, but at the same time not very competent.... This restaurant has good displaying and nice way to present the food. But after all, the food is too salty and for the price we pay, it's bad. 1 person will be charge more than 110$++ for not full, and so so quality. Food serving is slow. The shrimp on the day I order, 6 pieces but 1 piece is... More

After quite an involved booking process I was very excited to visit Bo.Lan, particularly after reading many positive reviews. Unfortunately I found the experience underwhelming. Perhaps the problem lies at the heart of what Bo.Lam seeks to achieve - ie an elevated interpretation of 'authentic' Thai cuisine. In western cuisine it is relatively straightforward to elevate common dishes as these... More

The food was good, but with so many different dishes served together at the same time they get lost. Wasn't overwhelmed by the taste, very good, but not great. Ambiance seemed so-so, maybe because with many empty tables the energy was low. Service is friendly but uneven with a lack of attention to detail. Disappointed that we were celebrating a... More

People are so stupid enough to write such a bad review about this place. I am telling you that this is the place you can eat best Thai food in Thailand and probably in the world. People with bad taste who want mediocre food should go somewhere else because here you will only find the real thing. I am very... More

Staying in Thong Lor & Ekamai

Neighborhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
