Had lunch at Hemming Ways today as the reviews were good but it was rather disappointing. My partners food was missing some items and when we mentioned this, the waitress said she would check but never came back. Overall pretty disappointing!

What a fantastic bar/restaurant, all the food was excellent and the pasta dishes were Italian restaurant quality. Will be sure to visit again!
Found Hemingways on our last trip to Bangkok. Situated near the end of Soi Sukhumvit 11 this place is a real gem. We have been there for breakfast and dinner and the food at this place never disappoints. Primarily European food with a good range...of beers. .More
Met up with friends over a few drinks at Hemingways. Large place and can get quite crowded. Music was a little too loud to make conversation without raising your voice. Specialty beers pricey but local beers normal prices of Bangkok.
Went here for br just when they opened. Good service and food. I had the regular breakfast with bacon egg hash brown sausage musherom and tomato. My wife had lovely American pancake with fresh fruit and maple syrup. Recommended!
Worst meal we had in Bangkok. Not enough staff. The food did not have any taste at all, or was lacking any balance of flavours. I do not understand the high rating. Only positive I can say is that the restaurant is built with quality...materials and is beautiful.More
had dinner here last night with a friend, had pork chop and nachos both were inedible. Pork Chop is tough and overcooked with a horrible sauce. The nachos were just a pile of chips with ground beef and cheese the worst I have had anywhere.
What a meal that was. I had the sticky ribs for starters and the Hemingway burger. It was way too much and tasted fantastic. My friend had the meatballs starter, and then the tenderloin steak. It was one of the best he's ever had.
Nice place, good atmosphere, cold beer. I asked for details about the "Meat Lovers" pizza, being I live live in Asia and know they try to copy many things from the west, but often fall short on authenticity. The 15" pizza came and I noticed...two things: there were 11 nickel-sized dots of white "cheese" here and there, and 3 pieces of meat. The server, despite my smile and patience, argued with me, saying that the "chef" knew how to make a meat lovers pizza. I found a street dog up the alley, and he seemed to enjoy it. Won't go back, just because, as usual in Thailand, the customer is never right.More
newly re-established, Hemmingway's is a bit of legend in Bangkok. The new restaurant tries to redeem the feel and style of the old location, but also create its newer ambiance. The food to good, service attentive and the layout traditional...like a well used family house....great place to visit, relax and have a cold beer on a hot day.More
We went to Hemingway’s for Saturday lunch and it was fantastic. We ordered the seafood ravioli and seafood glass noodle salad - both were delicious. Service was great (fastest we have had in Bangkok) as was the wine. The atmosphere was so relaxing - we...sat on the garden porch and there was good music. The rest of the menu looked great - we would return!More
As the expats in Bangkok, my partner and I walked on the sidewalk and was pushed! no offense, if the restaurant expects a crowd, should have them line up! instead of covering the sidewalk! I wish the mayor or the governor of Bangkok would read...the message! sidewalks are for walking, not not for socializing ! not to mention that we were pushed!More
Nice to return here and see little has changed. Though Bangkok was noticeably quiet, Hemingway's is as busy as ever. As always good quality food and excellent service.
I don’t need to live in the past, but clearly Hemingway’s Bangkok needs to reflect. It used to be a class act! Now no such thing as good or gracious service, Ernest Hemingway would roll over in his grave, no class, no humour, just pure...arrogance, won’t be back. For whom the bell tolls!More
Staff were efficient, professional, and friendly. The food was perfect--I had the burger... big and juicy, and the fries were just right. The ambience is best, though...Bangkok edge, but still appropriate for business or family gatherings. Highly recommend.
