Located in the heart of Bangkok, Hemingway offers a dining experience that blends sophistication with a relaxed, almost literary charm. The steak was juicy and succulent. The service was impeccable throughout, this place excels in both atmosphere and cuisine making it the perfect spot for a night out... will not disappoint!

Those that remember that original location, style, ambiance and cuisine of Hemingways on Soi 14 will be disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's modern day replacement on Soi 11 was clean, the food reasonable and the service good. Just not a patch on it's predecessor.

Great atmosphere!
Me and my boyfriend choose to have dinner and a few drinks here on our final night in Bangkok. Only 10 minutes from our hotel we thought we would stay local instead of trekking through the busy streets of Bangkok. This restaurant was perfect and the food was amazing! The menu offers loads to choose from, whether it be western, seafood, Italian, starters and Thai food! So much choice with a variety of soft drinks, hot drinks, cocktails (alcoholic and non alcoholic) fruit juices, spirits and beers available. We had decided to go for chicken wings to start, then mussels and a Korean chicken burger for mains. The chicken wings were spot on, with a lovely sweet chilli sauce for dipping. The mussels were so tasty with a little spice and served with garlic bread. The chicken burger was very moreish with the salty, spicy kimchi making your mouth water. The atmosphere felt almost home from home, like we were eating in a restaurant in Europe, not in Thailand.
This was very much emphasised by the helpful staff and the amazing live band they had on after dinner. We had a table next to the stage outside, which wasn’t too loud. The band (can’t remember if they had a name) were incredible (as live bands go)! Two good friends, male and female, shared great chemistry when putting on a great and crowd pleasing show. Both singing a variety of known and current songs with a great backing band. The female singer really give it her all and is such a good singer! 10/10 playing a popular bangkok restaurant! We loved it and the restaurant! If we visit bangkok and this area of the city again we will come back! Perfect meal with quick service and atmosphere for our last night in Bangkok!

This place was fine until I paid the bill and there was no receipt. Wheh I asked for the receipt it clearly indicated a Hidden 10% service charge, which is illegal in Thailand if they don't make it clear, in writing at the front door - but hidden at the bottom of the menu.
I'm a good tipper, but I like to choose who I top and why. I bought oysters plus 6 other springs and was charged roughly $10 extra on average service. What made it worse was the bar manager ring with me about the legality!! He is wrong. Check online, a service charge has to be clearly pointed out before you purchase, not hidden at the bottom of a menu where most don't see it.
This is happening more and more in Bangkok as the owners of these bars try to pay their employees in other ways.
Not good, as I told the manager and his bad attitude, I'll not be back.
Check all your bills in Bangkok these days folks and the menus before you buy, as this is increasingly a thing and they'd argue a black crow was white on it.

Came here with a friend for a few drinks and a meal. The menu had good choice of popular fast meals - Thai, Italian, burgers - and service was fast and friendly. Good atmosphere throughout and on a lively but not in your face Street.

Had lunch at Hemming Ways today as the reviews were good but it was rather disappointing. My partners food was missing some items and when we mentioned this, the waitress said she would check but never came back. Overall pretty disappointing!

Nice place, good atmosphere, cold beer.
I asked for details about the "Meat Lovers" pizza, being I live live in Asia and know they try to copy many things from the west, but often fall short on authenticity.
The 15" pizza came and I noticed two things: there were 11 nickel-sized dots of white "cheese" here and there, and 3 pieces of meat.
The server, despite my smile and patience, argued with me, saying that the "chef" knew how to make a meat lovers pizza.
I found a street dog up the alley, and he seemed to enjoy it.
Won't go back, just because, as usual in Thailand, the customer is never right.

had dinner here last night with a friend, had pork chop and nachos both were inedible. Pork Chop is tough and overcooked with a horrible sauce. The nachos were just a pile of chips with ground beef and cheese the worst I have had anywhere.

We met friends here on a few occasions for late afternoon/early evening drinks and ate a couple of times. It won't be to everyone's taste, but we enjoyed the atmosphere and lively vibe, there was live music on a couple of evenings. Great spot for meeting up in Sukhumvit.

We live in Bangkok and given that the international school our kids go to was having a cultural get together for the parents at this place, we decided to check out the place in advance.
Great location and the place looks very nice. It certainly has excellent potential but it needs to address the attitude of its serving staff. I understand lot of them are new, and the place was quite busy when we were there. But, using ‘busy’ as an excuse for everything, makes you feel that you are not wanted there as there are other customers to look after.
We ordered water for our kids after their meal, it didn’t arrive. Excuse: too busy.
Eating plates arrived after our pizza was almost done. Excuse: too busy.
To add insult to the injury, the online menu states that service charge and tips are discretionary. But, our bill arrived with 10% service charge already added. For what? Maybe the restaurant can add but make it discretionary for customers to change based on their experience as some restaurants now do. At least, there is an incentive for service staff to do their jobs.
I finally asked to speak with the Manager but couldn’t. Excuse: too busy.
I waited at the bar for the manager but was ignored.
Hospitality business survives on regular customers to give stable income and I hope this place understands this basic business concept.
Unless they are too busy!

Amateurish attempt at a bistro with tasteless food and incapable staff. If you have the misfortune of eating here, whatever you do don't order anything with shrimp. (Unless tough, unfresh, tasteless shrimp is your thing). I've eaten here 2 times now. After an awful first experience, I gave them another chance. This time, nope: we're done. This place is for clueless tourists who don't know any better. The service is awful. The food is worse. Avoid.

Second time dining here and food was just as good as the first visit. Ordered the salmon in a delicious sauce with seafood as well as some Thai dishes. Apple crumble dessert was also excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant which has seating both and out.

I love Hemingways, even when they used to be at the old location after they move to suk 11. But my visit last friday put me in a absolute annoyance when one of the crew ask me if i need cutlery to eat the food that i order, not sure if the guy is joking but since im Asian the western guy probably think i eat with my bare hands despite bangkok was recently just loosen up with the covid lockdown. Im also in same industry and i understand that they are busy so i just sarcastically say to the crew (among the farang who run the show who attended me) sure ill eat with my hands and he agree hahaha 😳 You guys are funny 😂 Food was ok, didnt have cocktail as its not allowed at the moment. however didnt enjoy much the ambiance as they put me directly at the back end corner while few tables are still availble, wasnt expecting an attention to detail-service. Altho i know Steff (the german guy) whome drop by and say hello Danke schön liebling. Friday night it was pack and looks like a happy place, half of the guest is farang. Im not sure if ill comeback as they might asked me again to eat with my hands...maybe ill do but next time ill just bring my cutlery and show to the manager i came from a place that uses knife and fork in Germany. I just live right accross Hemingway's so ill defo see you alot. Schatz!

I have been going to Thailand for several years and went to the original Hemingway's before it moved to the new location a few years ago. I always make it a point to visit Hemingway's a few times a week every time I travel to Bangkok and I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed. It is by far my favourite restaurant and bar in all of Thailand and It rates in the top 5 in all the restaurants that I have visited throughout the world. They even have Frank's hot sauce the original for their Buffalo chicken wings and their bloody Mary parties are the best. I have booked a flight for this January and I can't wait.

Been here with friends for dinner and just realized that they have for almost every day a special promotion. Such as Mexican Monday, Steak and Oyster Discount on Tuesday's, Ladies Night on Thursday's, Free Flow option on weekends, Bloody Mary Bar and Sunday Roast. And by the way every day Happy Hour on selected drinks until 8pm. Will be back again
