I had passed Patara restaurant in Soi 19 of Thonglor several times but it was never the right time to give it a try. The restaurant is a standalone bungalow in a lush outdoor garden with ample parking. The restaurant is spacious with ample space between tables and private dining areas. Even though we went there on a Saturday evening it was not too busy, pricewise it is at the upper end but definitely worthwhile to pay a bit more for delicious Thai food and beautiful ambience. We had spring rolls, steamed seabass, pomelo salad, morning glory and the pineapple fried rice with seafood. Every dish was delicious.
Draft beer was available and a sufficient selection of wine.
The staff and service were excellent, attentive and helpful. I definitely will be back.

We chose the Recommended Set Menu and it was a fantastic choice. Appetisers were very tasty and the mains were exceptional with sea bass curry and neck pork with sweet fish sauce stand outs. A wonderfully warming tom yam in between.
We asked to change the pudding as the deserts with banana, coconut cream and the roti sounded amazing and we weren’t disappointed. Possibly the best value for money and even quality dinner we had on our 3 week trip in Thailand.

Quality of cuisines are awesome, calm atmosphere with well-organized garden view.
An assorted Patora’s delicacies is good start for the journey, especially for party for two, Spicy seaweed noodles with minced pork and seafood is new experience much more than just a Yamunsen.
Famous Chicken massaman curry is also my favorite.
All dishes are promising.
Of course it is perfect choice for formal business dinner or memorial evening.
The location is walking distance from Tonglo area but maybe better to car if you enjoy the restaurant atmosphere.
I think it may be a good choice for quick dinner occasion like a just after international flight arrival or dinner after big business lunch.
I would like to try set menu to discover their full performance probably with my family next time.
料理の質は素晴らしく、よく整えられた庭園の景色を望む落ち着いた雰囲気です。
パトラ前菜盛り合わせは旅のスタートにぴったりです。特に 2 人のディナーには最適です。豚ひき肉とシーフードが入ったスパイシーシーウィードは、単なるヤムンセン以上の新しい体験です。
名物のチキンマッサマンカレーも私のお気に入りです。
どの料理も期待大です。
もちろん、フォーマルなビジネスディナーや記念日の夜にも最適です。
場所はTongloエリアから徒歩圏内ですが、レストランの雰囲気を楽しみたい場合は車の方が良いかもしれません。
国際線到着直後や、大きなビジネスランチ後など、ちょっとしたディナーにも最適かと思います。
次回はおそらく家族と一緒にセットメニューを試して、彼らのパフォーマンスを堪能してみたいと思います。

the quality of food is fine but a bit over- priced. we ordered a deep fried chili tofu and pomelo salad as starter, followed by the tom yum soup. as for the main, we have the famous deep fried fish and the lamb shank. the portion is perfect for 2 persons and we nearly finish all the dishes. they were delicious but not very worthy. and also there is mosquitos bitting us throughout the whole meal and it ruined our night to enjoy these delicious food:(

Not hot enuf, not sour enuf, not "Thai" enuf.
Decor & surroundings great yet dishes fared out didn't meet one's expectations.
Spareribs in jackfruit disappoint as dairy milk was used instead of coconut milk.
Crabmeat omelette was good.

The quality and taste of the dishes offered were excellent! could not fault the flavours and elevated thai food experience. We had a few vegetarian dishes and was not disappointed, in particular the tacos, satay and spring rolls. Can wait to come back for the non-vegetarian options too!
Only downside is the level of service. the staff comes across cold and robotic for Thai standards. we were hoping for more friendly and engaging staff which the Thais are renowned for.

10+++ all around, great service, beautiful and elegant decor, very polite and professional staff, amazing Thai food and beautiful presentation. Super reasonable price 2,000 Bath for an upscale dinner for 2. I cannot wait to have dinner again at Patara!
