Plus was recommended to me by a good friend and I decided to look it up, tucked away in the back streets of Silom. As I looked in the window I could see immediately it was a very 'Up Market' restaurant and as I was only in shorts and golf shirt decided I would come back another day when better... More

I read the rave reviews for this place with some skepticism, thinking that it was relative to what would be expected in Bangkok - but this restaurant provides Italian cuisine that can compete with the absolute best Italian restaurants in many a European city. Perfectly prepared risotto and pasta, all with understated subtle flavors, freshest ingredients.... we had a magnificent... More

It is difficult for me to be 'wowed' by Italian restaurants - I tend to prefer making homecooked - but I can honestly confess to being WOWED at Opus! This place is hopping every night and it is no wonder - the food, service and ambiance are all fantastic. My husband and I visit Bangkok 1-2 times annually and it... More

We are very unhappy about this Restaurant's service. Very greatly disappointed with the arrogant and unprofessional service of senior and regular staffs. Staff was very reluctant to adjust temperature of aircon in private room when we were feeling very cold and were shivering. The service here is very impolite and snoppy, making stupid excuses like "Each chair costs 3000 baht... More

The night in question was New Year's Eve and it is the only time in the entire year that we offer a set menu for a fixed price. You made a late booking and we provided you our private room. The problem started when you asked us if you could pay for only one set menu and share it between... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
