Great traditional food in a good atmosphere. The spicy Thai salad with banana and pork was soon delicious. Food is like in a really really great, good street restaurant but in a great fine dining atmosphere. I would recommend to come with several people because you have the chance to enjoy a higher variety. Prices are really fair. About 150... More

Excellent neighborhood Thai restaurant. Fresh food, tasty, if too spicy ask for "May Pet". ( less spicy) and they will cook accordingly. Efficient service although not too smily: too much customers! Go to first floor open terrace: a bit of wind, not so noisy as inside. Pets friendly. No need to cross town though... It a very good local only.

Friends decided to meet here. Was not sure initially by the name but when the food arrived it was just terrific. I had the Iced Green tea with milk, first I have tried before and is recommended. The pad Thai with fried crabs was a delight followed by steamed seabass with soya sauce. In dessert, chocolate brownie with vanilla icecream... More

We brought family friends from abroad to this restaurant and it was a big group with young children to cater. We were seated on the first floor and the entire floor had very poor AC. Needless to say it was uncomfortable especially for the children. Our discomfort was eased a little when the food came. Food was delicious and the... More

My husband hates curry, but he gets extra rice so he can get every drop of sauce. The restaurant had to relocate and now requires a long walk from the BTS or a taxi ride. Walking isn't too bad if it's during daylight though. The restaurant also has a complimentary tuk tuk to take you to pretty much any nearby... More

We go to this restaurant 2-3 times a week when in Bangkok. Huge choice and never disappointed. Traditional This food +. Good service and nice seating. Not inexpensive but reasonable prices. Have both a/c rooms and outside. Upstairs outside is quite nice (if not too hot!). Now located on Soi 49. Great valet parking.

We been here for quite a long time ago before they were moving to Sukhumvit soi 49 (before that it was at the conner of soi Thonglor 13) The food is really good with fresh food and the tastety. Howerver, it was doom with the service - the waitress tried to avoid the customer seems they afraid to take the... More

The old location was pretty magical, always full of multi-generation family groups. The food was always good and affordable. The new one...well, let's say it's not quite the same. I can't say it's bad, but I wouldn't rush out to recommend it to people. The food may be the same(?) but it doesn't seem the same.

I had the good fortune to visit this restaurants with some Thai colleagues. This is a modern restaurant (I'm told it has moved from its original location), brightly lit and buzzing. My colleagues did the ordering as the menu can be a bit overwhelming. The food was really good. Baked fish, Prawn curry, salads, roast pork, etc etc. Some of... More

Staying in Thong Lor & Ekamai

Neighborhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
