Where has Vesuvio been hiding? I never found a really great pizza in Bangkok until i ate at Vesuvio.i felt i was in Naples with that flavor. Fantastic!

I have eaten at Vesuvio several times and the food when eating at the restaurant itself on soi eight is excellent without a doubt. But for the first time I ordered their pizza for delivery through foodpanda. part of the blame goes to food panda...but ultimately it’s the restaurants choice as to whom they except to deliver their pizzas. The pizza arrived under-cooked, not overly warm and all the ingredients and most of the pizza had slid over onto 1/2 of the pizza box (again due to it being undercooked and thus too soft). making it a huge mash of pizza all stuck. together. I wish I had taken a picture of it as often pictures speak better than words. Bottom line is when ordering a pizza one must take into consideration who is delivering it for them and how well they prepare it for transport.More

Sorry to hear of your experience. I recently purchased Vesuvio, and personally i've never seen an undercooked pizza go out from the kitchen. Apparently one was missed. As for delivery services, like most restaurants we use all available Bangkok services. Most drivers are prompt and...More

While I love Thai food & enjoy plenty when visiting Bangkok, I've long wanted to find great pizza in the city. I've tried most all, & always felt something was missing. Then I got lucky & discovered Vesuvio, a semi-al fresco style eatery near the...Nana BTS. Management brought in an expert pizza maker from Italy, who apparently spent a good deal of time and effort working with the available ingredients, water, etc. to produce something he could be proud to serve. In my opinion, pizza is about the crust. It has to have the right combo of yeast flavor, flavor resulting from the Maillard Reaction (I know TMI) and whatever wood is used in the Napoli Oven. Vesuvio got it right. The crust is delicious. Vesuvio has about 20 types of pizza--Bufala or Ortolana are personal favorites---and also serves a few salads (rocket/sausage/parmesan is great), a set cheese platter or a make-your-own, anti-pasto plates and calzones. They also have a selection of beers, a wine list, or wine-by-the-glass. Much of their foods are imported from 'the old country' and the quality is outstanding. Prices are very reasonable, too. Oh, let me add, the staff is also great. I don't know everyone's name---I should, having eaten there many times---but June and Kam (?) are always fast, efficient and cheerful. They add extra flavor to already great food. Vesuvio will also deliver to nearby hotels in the Nana and Asok areas of downtown Bangkok. My search for great pizza in Bangkok ended when I found Vesuvio. Grazie!More

This is a small restaurant with just a handful of tables inside and out. Pizzas were top notch made from authentic ingredients in a wood fired oven. Way beyond our expectations. Will most certainly visit again next trip.

your pizza is bad, I think it is the worst pizza I have eaten in Thailand. Try to use criticism to improve yourself. Your pizza sucks, but maybe you can try to improve ..... maybeMore

Not sure how you can make such a statement, as the vast majority if customers find the food excellent and as good as one would find in Naples. That the customer base includes many from 'the old country' is testament to the quality and flavor....More

This is a small and casual place with good quality food and friendly staff. The pizza is excellent and very good value, as are the cold cuts and cheese boards. The drinks are also good. An Aperol spritz is 200 baht and house wine 150...baht. Overall, recommended for pizza lovers!More

I regret we didn’t find this place until our last night in Bangkok. The pizza was delicious and not just becuse we had three weeks worth of tasty thai food coming out of our ears. They also have a mouthwatering selection of cheese and meats...available but at least have a pizza here. It’s really really good and it makes you happy.More
