We were on our way to a different restaurant when we saw this down a side street. It looked so inviting with its courtyard setting that we decided to make a detour. We didn't regret it: run by an Italian who settled there 29 years ago following many holidays in Thailand, it really is a taste of Italy. Fantastic flavoursome... More

My partner and I ate at Luigis last night after walking past and seeing the beautiful outside setting. The tables are draped with flowers and fairy lights in a small square outside - the tables are well spaced out and the whole setting is beautiful and very romantic. The service was brilliant - efficient, attentive but not in a way... More

We had a bad experience with this restaurant. The waiters had problems getting our orders right, and the food lacked quality, which you expect with expensive prices and homemade pasta and pizza. However the pasta were undercooked, The pizza tasted of close to nothing, and they charged the bill with an extra 17% - vat and service fee...! Find somewhere... More

I drooled over the Queen Margherita pizza with imported buffalo mozarella. I was looking to have another after an absence of 2 years. The menu no longer had the word imported in the script. Nevertheless, I ordered. Basically it was O.K. but far from stunning. The service is good. The premises offer inside and covered outside options. The house red... More

This was a second visit after a few years. Great Italian restaurant serving good traditional fare, the owner, Luigi present and attentive. He offered to discuss any dish and returned during our meal to check all was in order. On learning of my Italian heritage asked my family name, he suddenly rushed off returning with a bottle if liquor with... More

Loved the Calzone, was absolutely superb. Would suggest to friends when they travel here for a bit of a taste of home. Makes adjusting to the culture easy.

We don't normally frequent Pizzerias or Italian Food restaurants in foreign lands, but we decided to look at the menu at this place -- it was impressive so we decided to try'em out! Ordered the pepper crab, tom yam soup, crab cakes, and a chicken wing appetizer. The food was so tasty, I am salivating right now just thinking about... More

Service, food, & ambiance were absolutely terrible. Can't believe they included 10% tip in their bill. Total rip-off. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Also, claimed that Thai menu was not available until after 2 PM, WHICH IS TOTAL B.S. NEVER AGAIN. DON'T GO.

I have a rule: don't go to an Italian restaurant when you're abroad. Well this time I have been convinced to go and I accepted because they did tahi food too. We'll my food was Ok and the dessert was fine. My husband ordered a pizza and saying we were not impressed was an understatement. It was awful. Like frozen... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
