Locals know this place as ไก่ทอดเจ๊กี - Gai Tod Jacky or Gai Tod Jacky Polo (Jacky Fried Chicken in Soi Polo). Our Absolute must orders (by the way, we order via Line Food delivery) - a Whole Fried Chicken which comes with these Fried Thai...Garlic (the smaller garlic cloves) - tastes like heaven!! Another must order is their Tod Mun Pla Krai (ทอดมันปลากราย) or Fried Fish Cakes and these are not your boring fish cakes served at the hotel or in Thai restaurants in the States, but these are seriously fluffy fish cakes and they taste a millior times better than any ordinary fish cake! We also have to order the Som Tum Poo Pla Ra (papaya salad with salted crab and fermented fish - pla ra/padek) and the Nem See Krom Moo or Sour Pork Rib/Chop. It is truly a meal that satisfies the body and soul!! Not to be missedMore

Polo Fried Chicken may have gotten a Michelin mention but these days it is way off its game. I ordered the half chicken and all the white meat (half the order!) was dry and inedible. Don’t bother ordering the extra fried, dried out garlic. Only...3 tables occupied when I got there but the service was provided by staff between smoke breaks. I’ve had much better fried chicken by street vendors in Bangkok.More

Stopped by their well known fried chicken. It opens at 7am. Their fried chicken is moist, flavorful and crispy. The duck larb and som tum is good. Reasonable price. Definitely a must stop.

Fried Chicken Jer Gee, aka Soi Polo Chicken, is a justifiably well-known fried-chicken specialist. i can do no more than join the large chorus of believers, having returned more than once to get my garlicky fix. Oh how I love that crispy fried garlic that...crowns every order... The sai ua sausage makes for a pretty tasty starter, and don’t forget some sticky rice with your chicken. No shame in opting for the air-conditioned dining room...More

This place is a bit of the beaten path but well worth the trek. Ordered the half fried chicken which comes with a delicious crunchy garlic topping and the papaya salad, the quality of both were terrific, would definitely recommend and go back.

Sheltered from a thunder storm in polo fried chicken. Food is cheap and delicious with good portions. If you like fried chicken then this will get your fingers a lickin' . (Does have other thai dishes available which are also tasty). Plus rumour has it...this is in the Michelin guide (bib gourmand). Recommend for all budgetsMore

Best chicken and spicy papaya salad ever! Chicken was cooked perfectly. Salad was delicious! Very reasonable. Chang beer was huge! Ate there twice because food was so good!

This is a very casual, low key place, with more of the appearance of a canteen/cafe than a restaurant, but the chicken is out of this world, quite possibly the best I've ever eaten. Crispy skin, tender meat and lots of delicious crispy garlic flakes...on the side - delicious! And all for a bargain price too! I'm told the place is rammed at lunchtime with local workers but we went on a weekday evening and there was no problem getting a seat and the service was very quick. Highly recommend.More

If you like Thai garlic chicken and want to eat with the locals, then this is the place to visit. It's very basic but service friendly and fast. We had half a chicken between the two of us and that was perfect. Best garlic chicken inBangkok!

Tucked away in a small soi opposite Lumphini park, this restaurant serves some outstanding local dishes, where highlight are northeastern dishes (somtum, grilled pork and last, but not least, grilled chicken). Food is served very fast and tastes awesome. Prices are very affordable, most dishes...are in range of 100 THB or so. Definitely a place to go to sample local cuisine on the cheap.More

My husband and I went there last night, and we were told that the restaurant was reservations-only (maybe they were fully booked by a group?), but the woman took us a few places down the street to what she said was the same restaurant with...the same food. It was full of Thai people, so it was a good sign, and the food looked just like in the pictures here. We shared a whole fried chicken between the two of us, with some sticky rice, a papaya salad and a northern sausage just to have a taste. All this with two large Leo beers came to THB 660. The garlic flakes that the chicken is sprinkled with are the best thing I've ever had! The chicken wasn't maybe the juiciest fried chicken I've ever had, but it was tasty nonetheless, especially when dipped in the chili sauce that came with it. The service was very prompt, and the food came out within minutes of ordering. A great find!More

a blindingly brightly lit square room with stainless steel tables and chairs - a complete cafeteria - so you want be going there for ambiance - what you will be going there for is affordable half way decent Thai food and a prompt service. ordered...their signature chicken fry (half) , a big bottle of beer, a bowl of pork soup, shrimp fried rice and water and the bill was 400 bhat. This is a bargain in Bangkok considering how expensive things have gotten. fried chicken was soft and tasty indeed - soup and fried rice doable - portions doable also - this came recommended in a thai expat site - but locals seem to flock too - would a perfect spot for cheap eats before you hit the bars later in the ending - places closes at 9 - so plan accordingly - 8 min walk from Lumbini MRT stationMore
