You can sit inside or outside, old house and tree, very good shakes and food, friendly and competent service.

Food was really nice, there was loads to choose from and was a bit of an information overload but the food we ordered was tasty. The staff were very quiet and their English wasn't great but it was no issue. Worth a visit if you are nearby

Overall this is my favourite Thai restaurant in Thailand. The setting really still maintains the feel of old Bangkok and hasn't much changed over the 20 odd years I have been eating here. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. Service is efficient and friendly. The menu is quite extensive and the food consistently good. My favourite is the red curry.... More

The restaurant was suggested by a Thai and on entering I was about to leave because of the look but it turned out to have some of the best Thai food I've ever tasted. The crab curry was delicious, fresh spring rolls delectable and sticky rice with mango delightful. Best yet the price was sinfully low for such a great... More

After reading the previous reviews we decided to check out Hamonique. However it was highly obvious early on that we had been led astray. The servers were miserable and not helpful, the menu was ridiculously complicated, the food was nothing but average and over priced. There are many better restaurants in this area that I would suggest over this one.

Two sisters own this restaurants and eventhough they are not working due to their age they are there and welcome you from their apartment. The food is perfect and prices are at a good level. Also very cosily and the last time we were there it was raining, which itself was an adventure.

Yum summer rolls, overall happy with flavours of the meal. Nice, super casual relaxed feel. Good if tired and wanting something easy but still yummy.

A quiet family run restaurant serving Thai food in a house and covered veranda with some trees just off Charoen Krung Road next to the Post Office. It's at distance from Royal Orchid Sheraton, ShangriLa and The Oriental Hotels. It has beed open for at least 20 years. I just went back to see if it was still open after... More

One of my favorite restaurants in this part of town. Authentic cuisine in a family run restaurant. Try the flavorful Goong cha nam pla (very spicy). My favorite place for this dish. Unfortunately establishment is closed Sundays.

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
