We were told by few of our friends from Taiwan that this is the best place for pineapple cake, so we had to stop and check it out. I'm not a big dessert person, and I had pineapple cake many times before. But this place got the best. They are delicious and are great for gifts. I love the packaging.... More

The top 3 spots for Taiwan's popular export are LeeChi, ChiaTe, and the newcomer Sunny Hills. LeeChi and ChiaTe also make a variety of other pastries (LeeChi offers more traditional Chinese style goodies like mooncakes and wife cakes, while ChiaTe offers more traditional Western style or hybridized East meets West goodies like honey castella cakes and egg tarts). Sunny Hills,... More

The service was friendly. Variety of pastries - pineapple cakes and green bean pastries etc. Enjoyed the tastiness and freshness!

My mum lived near this famous pastry store. Since her childhood the pastry story has been very famous. The food is as good as its fame and never make us disappointed. I love green been small moon cakes (without meat filling) which has very fine taste. My Swiss brother-in-law is crazy for their pineapple cakes.

Pineapple cake is a must buy when visiting Taipei. Leechi is highly recommended by my Taiwanese friends, they have been around for a long time. The store is clean, nice displays, and have many different choices and flavors of cakes and other similar goodies to choose from. I was not sure about which type to buy, their pineapple cake comes... I love pineapple cake the most. I bought 7 boxes with 12 small packs inside. The taste is yummy, not too sweet, very creamy and soft. As I know there is another type of pineapple cakes. They call it 土凤梨酥,the taste is little sour, more like original taste of pineapple, which I am not used to it. Therefore when you... More

Recommended by friend to visit Leechi to buy their Tai Yang Bing. Heard from our driver that they expanded their outlet. Very nicely decorated but service level average. The staffs in the outlet can't be bother about customers. They did not offer any sample when we asked about their product. So we end up just buying the Tai Yang Bing... More

After trying pastries at Chia Te Bakery and two other famous bakeries, we decided to try another Leechi. We didn't hold out much hope for Leechi, figured that it was just like the others (good pastries, but nothing wow-ed us). At this point, we already tried many different pastries within 2-3 days. We were a little tired of the pastries,... More

It's a shame that poor customer service cancels out good pastries. My family has been buying pastries from LeeChi for years, and have been happy to watch and support it's growth and expansion. They are known for their mung bean pastries, but also have other offerings that include pineapple cakes, sun cakes, nougat candy. Their Taipei store has been nicely... More

Failing to get the famed Chiate pineapple cakes, which has queue waiting for hours, we asked around and was shown to this place. Incidentaly, this place is just 5 minutes walking distance from our hotel, Ambience. Their pineapple cakes with cranberries, pine nuts or just plain are good and fresh. Try it, you won't regret.
