The Garden of Dreams is a wonderful place to take a break in noisy, busy and chaotic Kathmandu. While we were there, a "ping" was set up in the garden and many children were enjoying it.

A beautiful European style garden, with well-manicured lawns, fountains, ponds and a nice, cozy restaurant. Recommended if you're looking for a quiet retreat away from the bustling traffic, noise and dusty in mid-town Kathmandu. They charge an entrance fee to limit the number of patrons, which makes it pretty exclusive. The restaurant serves both local and western food, and the... More

This is an old Rana Palace converted in to a restaurant .Extremely well maintained with little pavilions to fit the seasons( apparently there are five seasons in Nepal) .Where would one find Khayyam's poems carved on the walls in Katmandu but in this dreamy garden? We went for the Nepali snack menu - highly recommend the Sukuti , momos ,... More

Beautiful European style garden retreat tucked away behind a large wall. I went a couple of times during my stay and loved the place - Completely different from anywhere else I visited. Food and drink at the restaurant are expensive but amazing. Perfect time is late afternoon as the sun is setting.

This gardens are located in the moddle of a busy street in the Thamel district of Kathmandu. Originally some sort of a palace, it was converted into this peaceful and pleasant garden to have a moment of tranquil reflection. It is a small place but offers a restaurant and a small room with its history.

Kathmandu is crazy busy - Garden of Dreams is a five minute walk from Thamel ,but you feel like you are in a different world. Definitely worth the entry fee.
