The whole experience for our group here was fantastic - we dined here twice, with one being lunch and the other dinner - the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful, moving furniture to help sit people in the shade and bringing additional gas heaters in the evening. The food was fantastic, including the traditional Nepali dishes and some western meals too. All the drinks, including the extensive cocktail list, were delicious and very worth exploring. Compared to other restaurants nearby, the prices are slightly higher but so very worth it for the whole experience.

We ate here three times (one lunch and two dinners) during our stay in Thamel, Kathmandu area. It is a really nice restaurant. Although we preferred eating outside, we chose to eat inside during our last two visits because the outside dining is the smoking area while inside is nonsmoking. The Nepali musicians in the evening make the atmosphere even more enjoyable and can be heard inside quite clearly.
Everything we ate was wonderful. We enjoyed the vegetarian Thali, mushroom soup, paneer kolcha, vegetable soup, and peanut sedhako.
The manager, Lila, was always helpful. He came to our table to inquire about our food and visit each time. If you have any type of wait while there, it is because the place is very popular and the wait staff is literally hustling between the many tables. Any bit of wait is worth it to eat at this restaurant.

I went with my colleague for dinner at Kathmandu Grill and Wine Bar. I must confess that the food was super awesome. We didn't know what we wanted to eat initially, but after asking for recommendation from the restaurant staff, we decided to munch on the much popular authentic Nepalese Thali. Besides food, the service was excellent and we were treated in a very friendly manner. I recommend this place for authentic Nepalese cuisine and various other food items! I would like to come back here again and again.

Thank you so much for visiting the new dining test at Kathmandu Grill, we recently changed our location from Golkopaka to the best location of the tourist hub of Thamel. We are introducing more new recipes and lunching Happy Hours from 3 pm to 6 pm on each day. Also, we keep opening our restaurant from 7 am to 11 pm each day.

It started out well. Good reviews, nice greeting and atmosphere.
Menu looks promising and order was taken quickly.
Then it took only one direction...
Power, lights went on and off... very frequent during rest of evening. The tour to bathroom went straight through a construction site, including opening electrical wiring.
Three dishes: Pasta bolognaise, not eatable due to oversalten, heavily. Signature dish, stuffed chicken, on the very dry side, taste extinguished under heavy gravy. The third dish, a Nepali sampler plate tasted ok, but knocked out my wife with food poison.
Live music is up to personal taste, volume is rather on the too loud side.
Easy to explain the good reviews. The manager is asking, well helping to write reviews while he is witnessing the author and text..
Decide on your own, I would opt for an other restaurant.

We got a chance to stay 1 night at Thamel and were luckily able to visit Kathmandu Grill Restaurant (center located at Thamel) as I was recommended by my friends. We had rice with fish and grilled pork chop it was delicious food and good customer service as I experienced there. Grilled Pork was perfectly cooked and very hygenic too. The food was excellent. The service was also excellent. They have local craft beer and local foods with other menues for the tourists. For me the best was the traditional music group "Anugraha". They played so well and the money they make goes to support the orphans of the earthquake victims. Another great reason to come and support this place.

When in Kathmandu drop in at the Kathmandu Grill and Wine Bar. Beautifully set in Thamel, this place not only serves good quality food but has the most friendly staff. Manager Ram is always there to welcome guest and even the chef took time to say hello when we complimented on the food. They are visibly proud of what they do to keep guest happy. The Chicken Tikka is not to be missed.

The service here was perfect so attentive and they completely understand vegan/vegatarian. The food is incredible we had corn starter and momos good portion sizes and the food was really delicious. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming they can't do enough for you. The food isnt too spicy and I highly recommend the sizzler meal which arrives in fire great fun and lovely.

We were made aware of your concerns prior to your review, and we conducted a thorough investigation encompassing both the kitchen and service aspects of your visit.
Upon our review, we observed the following details:
You and your friend arrived at the restaurant around 11:30 PM, carrying two canned beers and snacks that you had purchased elsewhere. Our restaurant has a policy that prohibits outside food and beverages.
Your order included one serving of fried baby corn, one portion of spaghetti, and a drink. You had consumed approximately 2/3 of your meal before expressing your dissatisfaction. We encourage our guests to inform our team of any specific preferences or adjustments they require when placing their orders to ensure a customized dining experience.
An argument ensued, which came to the attention of our manager. Unfortunately, due to the effects of alcohol consumed before your visit to Kathmandu Grill, the situation escalated. It is essential to maintain a peaceful and respectful atmosphere at our restaurant, and we do not engage in confrontations with our patrons. Our management takes this matter seriously and will take immediate action to prevent such incidents in the future.

The Kathmandu Grill Restaurant offers a pleasant experience for those looking for a diverse cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere.
The food at the Kathmandu Grill was very tasty and offers a good selection of dishes. The seafood spaghetti was well prepared and tasted fresh, as did the momos. The Thai curry, however, did not taste like it does in Thailand. The portions were generous and the presentation was appealing. The "apple pie" for dessert was also very good.
The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and kept things flowing smoothly.
The ambience at the Kathmandu Grill was pleasant and inviting. The live music added to the atmosphere.
Overall, the Kathmandu Grill Restaurant really offers a solid dining experience with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere.

What a great spot to have dinner in Kathmandu. The atmosphere was amazing, and made even better by the incredible open fire in the middle of the room (i visited in March so it was cold outside). I was dining on my own, but there were also lots of big groups there having their initial team dinners. The kitchen looked incredibly professional (you can see in to it from the dining area) and the food was very reasonably priced and great portion sizes. I will definitely be coming back!

While the food was mediocre at best, the prices were much higher than neighboring restaurants that serve much better food.
The Lebanese salad didn't resemble any salad served in the middle east and the sizzler chicken was mainly average.
