Quick and convenient Thamel spot

We have been here several times. Great for coffee or a cold beverage and a quick lunch. I would recommend Fire and Ice or Fusion for full meals. The soups and fried rice are really quick and tasty here. Several in our party were not impressed with their meals on our last visit. This is also a hostel type establishment and has that kind of a vibe. Lots of younger backpackers. Adult beverages are reasonable and the coffee drinks are brewed not nescafe.

Famous Restaurant in Thamel

I had visited after long time because COVID-19 to Papular restaurant call Gaia in thamel . I had Fresh vegetable plate. Was very much delicious. Management team all are carefully serving to the customer with social distance as well as with sanitizer providing in entry gate . I am really got refreshment with new test after long time . Thank you very much Gaia team !!!

Tea was sort of bad.

I ordered milk tea and to put it simply, it was bland. Tasted awful. Also some people were there standing by the fire, which is cool and all that but making way too my noise. Seemed the the restaurant staff too joined them a couple of times and then some more people came and joined them. Too much noise. Making it a bad experience.

You must try Masala tea of Gaia.It was really good. You can order with sugar or without sugar. Sorry, for the noise and our restaurant is in the center because many people come to drink tea, and coffee.Sorry, you don't like the tea but you should try Masala tea instead of milk tea.We sell almost 50 cups of Masala tea Black/Milk.Because of your reviews i will take it and will apply or try to manage in a better way.If possible you can come and try our Masala tea and more... Thank you for your reviews.

Tasty food

JUST a stone's throw from my hotel in Thamel lay Gaia where I dropped in one night for a meal on my way into town. This garden setting restaurant really looked after me. It was packed when I arrived but friendly and helpful staff found me a place to enjoy a drink at the bar while they waited for a table to become available. I had a local beer followed by a main meal which included a delicious pork steak with vegetables which hadn't been cooked to death. The bill was cheap and I ate there twice more during my stay with both meals proving to be tasty treats. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for relaxed outdoor dining in a lovely setting with good quality service and great food.

The best food and ambience

Gaia is a very peaceful and quiet place where one can enjoy individual company with a very comforting garden. I, personally enjoyed the pleasant environment and the delightful dinner,padthai along with the fresh salad that is best known around this area since it is said to be of their own farm at dhulikhel. Honestly, the food here is so good that other food have started to taste bland for me. For alone visit and as well as visiting with friends and family, this place is a very nice spot. I've been here several times before with my friends too and this place never fails to satisfy me.

I have been having Gaia breakfast several time but no time to write a review but today I am going to write now . Gaia is very simple restaurant nice garden and good food friendly staff the Eggs Benedict I like must for breakfast Gaia also have multigrain dough Pizza and lasagna which is very tasty and different then other places. So I would really like recommend these please. Thank you gaia team keep it up.

A nice dinner

We had dinner in this place recommended by our guide. Nice and polite service from the servers. A new year eve menu was nice and filling. Too bad they used spaghetti for chow mein and it was too dry. Other than that, everything was fine. Masala chai tea was really nice.

An international gourmet and social experience...

Gaia is not the only international restaurant in Tamel, but the best, is the place where all the explorers converge in Katmandu, for the best international dishes, and delicious Nepali beers such as Yeti, Gorka, Everest and others, the attention from staff is excelent. We were ther for three consecutive nights, and all the dishes were excelent.if you want to eat delicious and have a beautiful explorers experience at Katmandu, this is the place... Namasté from 🇲🇽 México!!!

Great place to dine outside or inside

This is an ideal place to visit for dinner. We stumbled across this as we searched for a little massage. The staff were so attentive in getting me a blanket as I was a little cold. They care! Food we had was superb and the establishment was easy to find. Candles are lit at night which makes it ultra quaint. Give it a go.

Mouth watering “Pad Thai”

I truly love this “chicken pad Thai " from Gaia kitchen, I m big fan of Thai cuisines and here you find the real one . It is not only tasty but very hygienic too , the spices and herbs they use for cooking is just perfect. Thanks again Gaia restaurant’s and coffee shop , in thamel Kathmandu ❤️❤️❤️

Good Eggs Benedict

Popped in this morning for breakfast and was not disappointed. Finally found a decent eggs benedict in Kathmandu with the right amount of citrus/zest. The Nepali Masala tea was delicious and cappuccino on point. Our server was efficient, attentive, and politely charming as well. We'll be back!

A few members of our EBC trek had been to this restaurant prior to the trek so we agreed to try it on our return to Kathmandu. It became our ‘go to’ place for the rest of our stay. The staff were great, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The management seemed to really appreciate our group and let us stay late for a few beers too. I would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Best Restaurant in Kathmandu

Gaia Restaurant is a hidden gem on the side of Thamel. It offers a peaceful garden setting and serves fresh, healthy food. While orders may take a bit longer to prepare, the wait is well worth it, as the meals are packed with benefits for your health. The service is excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly. As someone who runs a travel company and brings customers from all over the world, I’ve visited Gaia many times. My clients always love the restaurant and its food. I highly recommend Gaia Restaurant!
