I can't speak for the rest of them but OR2K is a great veggie restaurant, with relaxed floor seating and chilled atmosphere, fun and colourful artwork surrounding the place. The food is the standout feature, great menu. It's the only place I ate at for my two full days in Kathmandu. 4 times. I recommend but check it out for yourself. 👍🏻

A hidden gem in the heart of Thamel!

This whole area of Thamel is pretty crowded, noisy, and like the Wild West. There are nice restaurants to be found. OR2K is one of them. The menu is extensive and has so many middle eastern dishes as well as typical Nepalese and Indian dishes. I found out that one of the three owners was Israeli, hence the middle Eastern dishes. You can sit on the floor mats Japanese style or at a table. The food was hearty and well prepared. The exact stars I’d give would be 3.5 but only whole numbers are given, so I went with a 4. The entrance is a little hidden just around a corner shop, and it’s up on the 3rd floor. Quite spacious. You can’t go wrong as the prices are reasonable and wait staff friendly. Howard S.

Delicius food, very cozy place

Delicius food, very cozy place and the staff is nice and helpful. We had the OR2K platter and mushroom panner choila. Choila is spicy, even when you get the ‘not spicy’ version, but still tastes good.

Vegetarian, vegan and Israeli dishes in the tourist heart of Thamel

I tried the local cheese selection, which is a good choice if you are not into vegan food or adaptation of Israeli dishes. It is a tourist spot, with most of the seats on floor cushions. Certain area of the room can be windy, which is annoying during winter time, so you may want to choose the right sitting area. All in all food is goods, just pricey for Nepal and the quality offered.

Gr8 fresh food but 10% Service Charge

Food was very tasty and fresh Seating area could do with a clean Like some other places in Nepal (not all) they add on 10% after menu price and tax. They call it Service Charge but I don't believe there is a take away option .... I guess it is a forced tip I must sound like an awful mean grudge - just so many countries rob the tourist if they can - or are not transparent with pricing.

I ordered from Foodmandu. Combo platter is just a Cold Naan and few dips, No side dish for Naan, salad is good but portion is for child. Food packing is ver bod. Do Not order for take-out.

Healthy option and value for money !!

Visited here few times and had tried different selections including the platter. The food is fresh, tasty and also the portion is generous. I enjoyed falafel, combination of hummus with pita bread and salads. The price is also reasonable and value for money, food is authentic. Also it is a good option for vegans. I recommend this restaurant.

Good food with disappointing service

Chilled out place with good vegetarian food and since I used to visit Pokhara's branch quiet often, thought of giving it a try here at Ktm as well but I was bit disappointed with the service. It felt like the place was only meant for tourists and locals were not welcome. We were there at about 9:30 pm. The guy at the reception said they are at their last order and when we asked them the 2nd time what time the last order would be then he said 10:30 pm. I wanted to sit at the corner seat which they said was reserved so we couldn't. But after 40 mins a guy (tourist) seated a table away from us moved to that corner seat. He was alone and no, he didn't reserve that table. Small things matter! Unless you don't care.

Most famous and nice, if a little pricey

I really like the Or2k and it's so easy to find other travellers there. The prices are more high than in comparison to the rest of the restaurants in Kathmandu, but the meals and drinks are delicious 😋. I would not like to come every day (budget wise), but at least once for every time I come back to Kathmandu. The vibe and atmosphere is really fun, especially in the early evening when they start to use blacklight ;)

Good restaurant for vegan and vegetarian food

If you are looking for pure vegetarian or vegan food in Pokhara and bored of Indian cuisine then this is a great option. We visited twice during our Pokhara stay. Food is very good along with excellent service.

Delicious Middle Eastern food

We loved OR2K, we went for the mezze platter and it was absolutely delicious. A lovely bit of variety on the usual menus in Kathmandu. The restaurant itself is great with low tables and you sit in cushions which is comfy and fun!

When you’ve had enough Dal bhat

This is exactly what your need after a trek where you kept switching between dal bhat and chowmeins. This place is the place to recover and eat excellent food like oriental (homous, mezze) or different kind, vegetarians, vegan, juices .. in a very cozy and welcoming place

I have to pen down my experience in this lovely Restaurant in the middle of Thamel Kathmandu. We are a vegetarian family and we are always on the lookout for Veg/Vegan local food in foregn locations and Or2K did not disappoint. The diaspora of options were amazing including superlative beverages. Would like to visit again and again

Very good on even days and not so good on odd ones

Looked very modest . Almost unkempt. Had the large mezze platter. The breads were fresh and the dips delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit. Went again after two days, the dips were a little thinner, and the breads atleast a day old. On sharing our experience, were told, that we should have checked before consuming them.
