We were a party of sixteen, tired and hungry after a morning of sightseeing. At first glance we thought the place was too small to cater to such a crowd, but once past the pretty garden with its apple trees and potted herbs and flowers there turned out to be adequate space inside. We were seated and served with alacrity!... More

Loved the ambience and the food which was served with amazing hospitality. The food was freshly cooked and simply awesome. Fusion food .. continental cooked with a Bhutanese flavor. The Bhutanese dish chicken maru, tofu spinach were exceptional. It is better to order and book in advance they start cooking once the order is placed.

This is an unusual restaurant in many ways: somewhat hard to find, must be booked in advance and has no menu. However the food is delicious; vegetarians well catered for and more than enough for a doggy bag. Not your usual Bhutanese food, more Asian fusion - lightly steamed vegetables in soy sauce with interesting mushrooms. Definitely worth a try... More

Visited in April 2016. The chef cooks up an awesome variety of dishes. Must try: warm apple juice, mushrooms and desserts

I had the good fortune to eat at ZaSa several times during my recent trip to Bhutan. We stayed at the Khang Residency right next door and so access to this comfortable, well-run restaurant was particularly easy. What stood out was the freshness of the ingredients and the variety of the tastes/textures in the dishes I tried here. Vegetarians, lovers... More

A good meal can ease my jet lag and travel disorientation. A great meal can etch in my mind as memory to savor again and again. ZaSa is firmly engrained in my tastebuds memory

Came to Zasa twice for dinner and the food both times were tasty, well-prepared and a fun mix of bhutanese and fusion dishes. The dessert both times was simply outstanding. The restaurant is housed in a warm, cozy space but you do need to book as it is a popular location for travellers and do mention what type of food... More

Bit away from town. We stayed at peaceful resort so it's walkable. 3 of us cost under nu700. We didn't order any alcohol or soft drinks. Free water and deserts offered. Mushroom cooked in a way Noone can tell what are they we had to ask chef. Will recommend to people staying nearby. Best call check their opening time.

We had dinner and lunch on couple of occasions. The dishes were wholesome healthy and delicious. Some were fusion dishes. Service was first rate too. Highly recommend trying out this restaurant when you are in Thimphu.
